5th gen Sans stealth bola hai. 5th gen me communication, sensor package, radar bahut kuch aur bhi components hote hai. Isme engine bhi change karna chahiye but wo possible nahi hai. Ye AMCA me use hone wale components ki testing, evaluation and improvement me help karega. Dhang ki criticism kar bhai.

5th gen really I don't know whether it is possible or not because the main feature of 5th gen is Stealth which is not possible when the weapons are outside of the fighter jet. Maybe they will modify the entire body but it will be difficult task.

It is not possible to convert the Sukhoi 30 MKI into a fifth generation aircraft. Only fifth generation features can be added to it. The 12-15-year timeline is the bad news. That is incredibly slow 😢.

You can't do it since it's a completely different technology. Dsp sahab sukhoi-30 can't be upgraded into 5th gen. Pehle 5th gen k bare mein research theek se kar lo. Faltu ka gyan na pelo. 5th gen has stealth with minimum RCS.. Most of the stealth comes from design and weapons bay and radar absorbent paint. Sukho has the RCS of 4 to 20 square meters. Khud ko update karo. I think reservation se dsp bane ho.

Main feature of 5th gen is Stealth which is not possible when the weapons are outside of the fighter jet and it need special shape so that they are not detected by Radars Also we should buy Radars which can detect stealth detecting Radars, based on terahertz frequency, and also microwave based detector, as developed by China. With such Radars chinese plane will be tracked by India.

AMCA dates are not clear - may be deliberate. The Su-30 MKI Upgrade Matlab improve the capability of fighter, but Stealth shaping will be absent. Even the MRFA may take time, even if orders are placed right away. This looks like a stop gap arrangement. Red tape to blame or too many advisors ?...

How is possible to convert su 30 to 5th generation? It has a metal body. Metal body itself means huge radar cross section. It has to be of composite material at first place and the basic design of 5th is very different. Both cannot be altered. But yes, its avionics, radar, and other digital equipments can be altered to hitech. It can be made a much superb fighter plane and be one of the best 4++ generation in the world like Rafael after upgrades. But its weakness will be its radar signature which cant be changed. You can at best put some radar absorbing paints but that won't help much.

Itne paison me 1 squadron su 57 or su 75 checkmate aa jaate the. No need for any additional assembly line as well in case Russia permits to assemble in India. The logic of defence procurement by India seems so naive at times Going forward if any two front war in Himalayas or North East can be defended by S-400 triumf and Rafale with Mirage 2000 considering high terrain warfare amd dog fight. Su-30mki is a heavy lift fighter which limits its capabilities to carry additional payload required in any high terrain dog fight. The Tejas if it was developed would had been an excellent fighter. More fighters will be required for the Navy for which govt is considering Rafale - M which might take 10 years for 114 fighters. But there is a difference between almost 5th generation and actual 5th generation

@@deepjha836 it's gonna take 15 years according to them. Just look at our only operational indigenous fighter Tejas. Its work started in 1983 and was inducted in 2015. Now the airforce is also saying it's not good enough for actual combat. There has been no export orders even after hyping it up and forwarding proposals to many countries. I don't even have to mention the flop show that is the Kaveri engine and the AMCA. So as you can see, I have my reasons. I'll believe it when I see it.

You can't make a 4th generation aircraft with some upgrades into a 5th generation....sensor data fusion you can make...but the diversity of sensors (in 5th generation) are impossible to fit into a 4th generation aircraft body....simply by logic it seems flawed. What about a stealthy airframe? What about super cruise speed? -- means maintaining super sonic speed without using after burners! What about a 360 degree view? EW capabilities? I think the air force is just trying to upgrade Sukhoi with some advancement but please don't call it 5th generation upgrades...coz it can't be

You can't do that. It will be cheaper to get a whole new jet. At any given time, you can only upgrade avionics+airframe or Engine. Never all of them.
