In an exclusive interview with India Today TV's News Director Rahul Kanwal, Union Home Minister Amit Shah talked about BJP's BJP's Mission '400 paar', implementation of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), 'One Nation One Election' and on a slew of issues.
On UCC, Amit Shah said, "Should the country be run on the basis of Sharia? On the basis of personal law? No country has ever run like that. There are no personal laws in any democratic country in the world. Why is it there in India?" He further added all democratic countries have a Uniform Civil Code and the time has come for India to do the same.
