Allu Arjun case: Allu Arjun has been granted interim bail for a period of four weeks. The Telangana High Court said Arjun, despite being an actor, had the right to life and liberty as a citizen.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will initiate the debate on the Constitution in the Lok Sabha Today while Union Home Minister Amit Shah will speak in Rajya Sabha on Monday. The debate is scheduled for 13th and 14th in Lok Sabha, and 16th and 17th in Rajya Sabha. Twelve hours have been allotted for discussion in each house, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi expected to reply in Lok Sabha on Saturday.
A 24-page suicide note left behind by a software engineer from Uttar Pradesh accusing his wife and her relatives of harassment intricately details his years-long emotional distress from marital issues and multiple cases filed against him. Atul Subhash was found hanging in his Bengaluru apartment with a placard reading "Justice is due".
The incident has not only sparked an outrage on social media demanding justice for the 34-year-old techie (#JusticeForAtulSubhash), but has also generated curiosity about the partly written and partly typed extensive suicide note. It cites nine police complaints filed against him by his wife and her relatives as a contributing factor to his suicide. He also detailed how his four-year-old "innocent" son was weaponised to extort maintenance.
Israel has struck suspected chemical weapons sites and long-range rockets in Syria in order to prevent them from falling into the hands of hostile actors, the foreign minister said Monday.
