Hello, thanks for uploading. surprsingly Srikant's wicket in 1st test in 2nd inning is missing. He was run out by Embury. Can you show that first fall of wicket in 2nd inning?

Great to see the footage. Pity Botham's 142 is not here. A tepid series played on slow pitches. Tavare 6 hours batting! Zzzzz What took the gloss off the English team basking in the glow of the 1981 Ashes was that deals were being made in India to go on a rebel tour to South Africa. Botham was offered huge money but turned it down. Boycotts test career ended in controversy as he declared himself not fit to play but then sneaked off to play golf!

One of the most boring series in India-England Test history. Only the first test was interesting with India winning in 3 days in an underprepared wicket. Worst of all was the worst of all; meaningless cricket. I was one of the unluckiest fans having watch every ball in the hot Chennai (Madras then) Chepauk stadium. Tavare, Pranoy Roy, Gavaskar are 3 of the culprits responsible for the draw. Pitch was chief culprit. To me Graham Gooch was the hero, playing a wonderful innigs.

According to the England players, this was one of the most boring tours in terms of the cricket played. Least I think it was this series. It might have been the one before.
