But, let me make a few corrections on Kashmir. 1) The BJP received many votes than the NC in JK, and if you added the Congress and BJP, the majority of votes by a huge margin went to parties who do NOT want 370. 2) The JK assembly resolution did not ask for 370/35A, rather sought the same special status that 11 other Indian states have including Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Telangana, Tripura etc .This information is available easily. 3) Pakistan's position on Kashmir is in tatters and it should concentrate on survival in POK/AK and try to mend fences with India by making sincere efforts. But, I know the boots will not allow it to come easily.

Not sure what official reasons come, however, 1. Security due to terrorist incidents, standing of indian cricket players (popularity & financial), players religion and hostile nature of pakistani state & crowd towards india & hindus is obvious. 2. Pakistan govt on its initiative has ended diplomatic & trade relations and expelled indian high commissioner. Another indication of hostile territory plus pak caused absence of diplomats make indian government unable to make accurate ground assessments of security, playing & living conditions of players. So, the team cannot travel.
