The human mountain they made to break a pot hanging in air is part of a festival celebrated across India, called Shri Krishna Janmasthami. Lord Krishna was believed to be born on that day as an avatar of Lord Vishnu. As a kid, Lord Krishna was very naughty and very fond of curd and milk fats/creams and used to steal it (as part of his innocence) from pots in his village for which he used to make human mountains with his friends to break pots in hanged up in houses. That's the backstory of this ritual.
