No madam they aren't Generals. They might be JCOs or COs like captain, major, etc. General is the utmost rank of Indian army. It's the second commanding rank.

all of those who are in civil dress they all are short service commissioned officers who supernueated after 9 or 14 years of service with Major rank.

Three serving colonels also are present at this batch on the parade ground whom are passout before 35 years ago, but still they are now at colonel rank ! why because after 3 decades of the service an officer is eligible to become alteast Major General Can someone explain me ?
