@@FACELopez I think it sounds perfect. The older I get the more I can't stand loud bikes and I own four motorcycles. But yours sounds absolutely perfect with those stock mufflers and that's exactly what I wanted to know about I searched high and low for a video and found yours thank you for making the video and I hope you keep it like that. 👍

thanks for vid Face. Yes, you'll definitely need to retune. Indian recommends the Stage 1 tune. Get that and you should be fine. I think it's like $200. But included if you opt for their Stage 1 kit (air intake)

Yes DRod, my intake is back order till December or January (crazy). Once I get it, I’ll install myself and get them to remap...cheaper this way.

Hi, have a question for you, when you did the cat delete did you have any lean problems cause of the extra exhaust flow? Great video by the way! So I have a 23 Indian pursuit, and I want to do what you did! Just I'm worried about being to lean and burning something up, bike has 20 miles on it and I had the dealer do the stage one intake and refresh also told them I was doing 2.5 tab slip one so now I'm wondering if it's safe to do the cat delete now?I will be doing the Lloyds or EVE tune after the break in oil change 500 miles! Any thoughts would greatly be appreciated thank again!...
@FACELopez Жыл бұрын
Congrats on your new purchase. Honestly I didn’t feel the bike running lean, but science would indicate it probably was. Sense your going to get the ECU done with Lloyd, it would make sense to do the cat delete, otherwise Lloyd or RVS would need to reprogram the ECU once again. Also, every Indian Dealership has their own warranty on removing the cat, my dealership said it wouldn’t effect my warranty. Where’s your dealership located? Let me know what dealership and Lloyd or RVS ((whichever) you decide to go with feedback. Ride Safe!!

@FACE Lopez thanks for the quick response my dealership is in CT and they did a flash tune for stage one and 2.5 i told them i was installing but they said to wait until the first breakin oil change to do the cat delete i think they are trying to drum up business cause its a new indian dealer plus like you I'd rather do it myself!.. thanks again

I have exactly the same problem with my challenger 21. the engine regularly cut out while driving. they never heard about it but they did the challenger new update and it stalls less often now but it still happens to this day. I've often had that too when approaching a roundabout and it's just dangerous. RG from the Netherlands.

Thanks for reaching out A C. Once I did the remapping/updated software to be on the safe side it seemed to work. I’ve heard the throttle body were replaced on other challenger owners. I never got a different throttle body and maybe mine already had the replacement. It happened a couple of more times and I found what was causing it. I was “accidentally “ hitting the on/off switch with my thumb….when in doubt take back to dealership to fix. Another cause maybe all these sensors take time to adjust for changes on the upgrades. I now have over 30k and haven’t had any issues after my 7k miles👍🏽

Bike stalling at idle? i had a similar issue with my brand new 2019 Road Master. it turned out to be a neutral position switch located in the clutch lever housing. The problem wasnt exactly the switch but rather the connector wasnt fully engaged. The dealer simply reconnected and fixed the issue. This is not an isolated issue since my brother in law new 2019 chieftain did exact same thing!
@FACELopez4 жыл бұрын
That makes sense, it happens when clutch is engaged rolling to stop. I will tell my dealership to look at it. Thanks again👍🏽

have an indian challenger 2020 and removed the catalytic converter and put on dr jekyll and mr hyde. what is the best thing to do after this?
@FACELopez Жыл бұрын
My challenger is only stage 1, that’s includes cat delete, pipes and air intake. My intake is the power plus from Indian. After, the cat delete and already had my Tab pipes I got Indian to re-map the bike, with the code that was included in the power plus purchase. This was my options at that time, but now they have aftermarket ECM tuning like RVS and Lloyd’s. I would like to get my bike tune, maybe later it’s not in my budget…🤣👍🏽 Hope this helps and let me know your outcome.

Hey face- did you ever figure out the stalling issue? Also- did your bike throw any codes after you deleted the cat? Thanks bro
@FACELopez2 жыл бұрын
The stalling went away, Indian probably trying to figure out its own adjustments. My theory is there are so many sensors and its adjusting to your riding style, climate, and elevation. changes The Indian NOW runs good and without any issues. On the other hand, I do check the diagnostics once in a while and do find codes but, they just go away after the Indian figures them out the coding on its own. Indian dealerships don't find issues, but a few things were change for the better (Body Throttle) made a lot of indian challengers run better. Always pump good fuel for sure. Let me know what they figure out on your bike.
@drodNY4 жыл бұрын
Hey Face, did you get a chance to find out what was causing the stalling? Was it because it needed a tune after the cat delete? Or was it the throttle bodies? Just curious as some have reported similar issues but it was resolved with a recall, which synced the throttle bodies. Also, are you running with the 2nd cylinder deactivation enabled? I don't have any issues with my Challenger but just curious to see how you made out. thanks again for the vids.
@FACELopez4 жыл бұрын
It happened at about 4K miles as well, with no work to bike. Yes, running with deactivation. Now that weather is getting nice I’m taking it off. Indian dealership couldn’t say anything, but they’ll look at it during my upcoming service. I’m thinking it’s bad gas with debris caught in the fuel filter? Will see, I leave tomorrow morning to California for my upgrade. Stay tune👍🏽

Thanks, my lack of knowledge on the catalytic converter removal was due to better sound and less restriction on airflow allowing more power. Now, after reading detailed information I thought it only applied to cars and not motorcycles, but I was wrong. I still have my cat, and I’ll be putting it back on and thereafter getting it retuned. Also, make a video on this issues and reinstalling it. Emissions are important, but growing up in a rural town emissions were waived. Thanks Lee!

@@RanGer-498 you can expect bugs on all bikes regardless of year. I am still getting recall notices on both of my Harley's and Triumph motorcycle, and none were first year production bikes. @@drodNY yes i know ,but its always more prevalent on a newer model. You wont expect more software issues lets say on apple carplay in two or three years on a bike than you do the 1st year its out.

@@RanGer-498 no, but you'll get new issues as they upgrade to newer versions of apple carplay.. that's the world we live in.. it never stops updating. the issues never end.. just need to jump in and enjoy while you still can. it will never be a perfect time. Next year, or two years later, the Challenger may have new features that may have it's own set of issues.. and then people will say, I'm glad I got the older version, or I'll wait till next year when they've worked out the bugs. so don't worry so much about these things.. that's the reason they have warranty. @@drodNY not true , most updates are seemless, issues arrive when the manufacturer rushes things out like without verification. Like harley with the update they did to add apple car play or was it android (i forget)at first , but if you do happen to have an issue you can always reset and reboot quickly most of the time from home. Everyone knows most first production models have the most issues (corner cut here, corner cut there ,some on purpose, some not)thats why some people wait for the following years model because most of the kinks have been worked out, i applaud indian for coming out with a good bike out the door ,but still many kinks need to be workered out and before I smack $30÷k on the table i want a bike i know has less issues than more. I want to ride my bike not watch it sit and wait till the issues are resolved on my time and money ,i currently have 3 bikes with no issues none are 1st year bikes.
