So we have a very, very serious question here; the author of John, copied the doctrine of logos from Philo; and presented it as "Inspired from God/Word of God"; which many Christians believe. But in fact; the idea of John 1:1-3 existed decades before the Gospel of John existed. And by the way; the doctrine of logos was originally created by a Jew(Philo), not a Christian, so it debunks trinitarian claims.

Philo of Alexandria (c. 20 BC - 50 AD) indeed wrote extensively about the Logos, a term he used to describe the intermediary between God and the material world. In Philo's works, the Logos represents divine reason or the principle of order and knowledge. The Gospel of John, written in the late 1st century, begins with the famous prologue: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" (John 1:1). Here, "Word" is translated from the Greek "Logos." While Philo's use of Logos predates the Gospel of John, it's not accurate to say the author of John simply copied from Philo. The concept of the Logos in John has distinct differences: Personalization: In John, the Logos becomes flesh in the person of Jesus Christ (John 1:14), which is not a concept found in Philo's writings. Theological Context: John's use of Logos serves a theological purpose within the Christian framework, identifying Jesus as divine and central to salvation history, which differs from Philo's philosophical usage. I know you guys are very text book saavy but you are failing in the spirtual realm. Satanist , and demons both acknowledge Jesus and the spiritual presence he gave to his followers. This is why Muhamed wasnt able to cast out any demons or talk to ALLAH directly.

@@curtishardin3871 are you ready to get debunked again. Hymn to the Word This prologue is intended to identify Jesus as the eternal Word (Logos) of God.[20] Thus John asserts Jesus' innate superiority over all divine messengers, whether angels or prophets.[7] Here John adapts the doctrine of the Logos, God's creative principle, from Philo, a 1st-century Hellenized Jew.[7] Philo had adopted the term Logos from Greek philosophy, using it in place of the Hebrew concept of Wisdom (sophia) as the intermediary (angel) between the transcendent Creator and the material world.[7] Some scholars argue that the prologue was taken over from an existing hymn and added at a later stage in the gospel's composition.[20] Logos The Jewish philosopher Philo merged these two themes when he described the Logos as God's creator of and mediator with the material world. The evangelist adapted Philo's description of the Logos, applying it to Jesus, the incarnation of the Logos
@curtishardin38713 ай бұрын
@@invaderopbr Your not debunking anything my friend. What your doing subconciously is allowing your Islamic programming to filture which evidence you accept / reject . I am going to address these claims with citations for you to review. Claim 1: The Gospel of John Copied the Doctrine of Logos from Philo Your Claim: "This prologue is intended to identify Jesus as the eternal Word (Logos) of God. Here John adapts the doctrine of the Logos, God’s creative principle, from Philo, a 1st-century Hellenized Jew." Response: While Philo of Alexandria did use the term Logos, his context was philosophical, not theological. Philo saw the Logos as an abstract intermediary, whereas John identifies the Logos directly with Jesus Christ. (Evidential Support: John 1:14 (KJV): "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." This passage shows that John’s use of Logos is deeply tied to the incarnation of Jesus, which Philo never suggested. Claim 2: The Idea of Logos Existed Before the Gospel of John Your Claim: "Philo had adopted the term Logos from Greek philosophy, using it in place of the Hebrew concept of Wisdom (sophia) as the intermediary (angel) between the transcendent Creator and the material world.") Response: It’s true that the concept of Logos existed in various forms before John’s Gospel. However, John’s interpretation aligns with the Jewish Wisdom tradition, where Wisdom (Sophia) is personified and present with God from the beginning, independent of Hellenistic thought. (Evidential Support: ) Proverbs 8:22-23 (KJV): "The Lord possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old. I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was." This shows the Jewish context of personified divine wisdom, predating Philo. Claim 3: The Gospel of John’s Prologue Was Taken from an Existing Hymn Your Claim: "Some scholars argue that the prologue was taken over from an existing hymn and added at a later stage in the gospel’s composition." Response: The claim that John borrowed from an existing hymn is speculative. The prologue’s themes are consistent with John’s unique theological vision throughout the Gospel. (Evidential Support: C.H. Dodd, "The Interpretation of the Fourth Gospel": "The prologue is an original composition, not borrowed from any existing source, although it may echo early Christian liturgical material." This scholarly perspective supports the originality of John’s prologue. Claim 4: The Doctrine of Logos Debunks Trinitarian Claims Your Claim: "The Jewish philosopher Philo merged these two themes when he described the Logos as God’s creator of and mediator with the material world. The evangelist adapted Philo’s description of the Logos, applying it to Jesus, the incarnation of the Logos.") Response: Early Christians, including Church Fathers, interpreted John’s Logos within the framework of Christian theology, not as a mere adaptation of Greek philosophy. They emphasized Jesus’ divinity and role in creation. (Evidential Support: Justin Martyr, "First Apology," Chapter 46: "For Christ is King, and Priest, and God, and Lord, and angel, and man, and captain, and stone, and a Son born, and first made subject to suffering, that by His sufferings He might cure our passions, and be believed on by us." This reflects early Christian understanding of Christ’s divine and human nature, distinct from Philo’s abstract Logos. Conclusion While there are superficial similarities between Philo’s Logos and John’s, the differences are profound. John’s use of Logos is deeply rooted in Jewish Wisdom literature and early Christian theological insights, presenting a unique and powerful portrayal of Jesus Christ as the incarnate Logos.) Additional Evidential Support: John 1:1-3 (KJV): "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made." Raymond E. Brown, "The Gospel According to John": "The Johannine understanding of the Logos as fully divine and fully human, embodying God’s ultimate revelation, is a distinctive contribution to early Christian thought."
