Superb analysis, I was surprised to know that Kohli's last first class match was before Sachin's. It's about time for the Kohli's, the Sharma's and others go back to the first class setup. It is not only a chance for them to hone their skills, but also a great opportunity for the team they play with and against, to gain some valuable insights and experiences from playing with these legends.

Setting bad example. The seniors are out there setting a very very bad example for the likes of gill, yashasvi, Washington, sarfaraz. Playing those unnecessarily aggressive shots has dampened the team's odds of performing superiorly. Does intent only mean being able score quick runs? Having 3 or 4 runs per over has become mediocre? Totally agree with Saurabh. It very well was Dravid's brilliance that took India to shore with Rohit as captain earlier. I'm done with Rohit and Kohli. Their time's up. The likes of Dhruv jurel waiting long for chances despite stunning performances hurts. Can't recollect the last time Indian batters tamed spinners the last time! Pant for me is the next captain in tests. Bumrah, I'm not sure given the need for his workload. Can't see the team with a temperament as this doing anything of a level that guarantees a series victory in Australia.

At this stage, Virat needs to return to the drawing board and address his technical flaw. Pdogg discussed this issue on Cricbuzz in 2021 and reiterated it on his channel following the recent defeat, pointing out that Virat still hasn’t taken steps to correct it. Rohit as a batter in test, been poor for last 2 years and I believe both need to be dropped.

This is such an ignorant podcast. Expert should understand that Indian cricket team doesn't play just to win. BCCI is under tremendous pressure to ensure that broadcasters earn their revenue which they have committed to the board. This pressure makes them choose out of form, out of practice superstars. That's what gives the leverage to the likes of Dhoni, Virat or Rohit. They control the fans with their big cult created by powerful PR agencies and sports marketing firms and fans control the TRP. This is the toxic relationship of Indian fans and Indian cricket. The day Indian public starts watching the Indian team and not their idols, BCCI will be able to take risks and may be have 4-5 differe types of teams. Separate for white ball ODI's and T20's and specialists for Test Cricket, Home and Away. IPL should be the only place where BCCI should make money using star system. For internationals, they should only go for the glory. This will happen, once Rohit and Virat retire. Next generation doesn't have the skill or charisma to command such kind of organic fan following. Only Rishabh Pant could have this kind of fan army. Gautam Gambhir has that vision and he has spoken about this culture in many interviews. It's the fans and public who need to watch and follow the Indian team. Rest will happen automatically.
