It was planned to be strapped up with the tejas, and now they say its gonna go with the drones, once they realised that its technology is outdated. Good to see further advancements in the Indian Navy's P75I deal , because simantenously we can devlop P76 diesel electric submarines by which The Indian Navy will have 6(P75)+ 6(P75I) +3 additional (P75I)+ 12(P76) = 27disel electric submarines in the next 12 years with 4-6 (P77) SSN & 6-8 ( SSBN),Making the total around 40-45 submarines. And if we see 50% of the diesel electric submarines fleet of chinese navy that is 46/2 = 23 are outdated just like our sindughosh class and by next 15 years they will be also replacing old ones so they will also have around 60 total submarines and that's not a huge gap of 15-20 submarines because in case of a war it will be most likely in Indian Ocean so we will have geographic advantage too Jay Hind 🇮🇳🇮🇳 Indian Navy 🇮🇳🇮🇳

The F35 and F22 post incredible kill ratios in war game exercises against fourth gen jets. At least one source said 20:1 for the F35 and an astounding 108:1 for the air dominance F22. The "A Rafale/Eurofighter killed them" story is for one the ratio of 1 against a lot more getting killed themselves, and two under situations those jets would try not to be in, i.e forced WVR. So even 95 F35s would be a massively, massively larger force multiplier compared to 114 fourth gen MRFA or heck even 144 of the original plan. If we can do it, we should definitely not be stupid and take the opportunity. It would have to be cleared first, which is the unlikely bit. The F35 would be the undeniable stealth champ in the region at LEAST until Chinese 6th gen if even then, and right now our concern is 350+ J20s and the J36 is another decade+ of development away. It would also give us some breathing room to reconsider AMCA as a sixth gen platform earlier in its development. If it's not cleared, we should reinvestigate the Su-57M with the AL51 and flat stealth nozzle, which should be ready in 4 years and allow enough time to switch our production over. 4 years is a lot closer than not having a single AMCA squadron probably a least until 2040.

We have a huge US lobby within our PSUs, armed forces and even DRDO, thats why people are still pushing for F-35 when we are already facing issues with F-404. If you see video of DRDO chief, he said that we need a foreign partner for developing 6th generation engines and needs technology of ceramic matrix composites that is only available with GE. Most engines are performing excellent without CMC, but still he insists on these 6th gen techs available mostly with US only. But he didn't mention about indegenous development of single crystal blades for fighter engines, when DMRL had already developed it for helicopter engines 5 years back. DMRL had already said that we are capable of making single crystal blades for fighter engine without any foreign help. We are not even making a proper 4th gen engine even when we are capable and he's lobbying for a foreign collab for 6th gen engines ! Clearly shows the intent

To be honest, I do not see the need of 140 fighters, we should buy a mix of 4.5 and 5th gen. 40 to 50 pieces of 5th Gen and similar numbers of 4.5 or maybe a bit more. It will reduce the overall cost. 25 billion is a huge number. Meanwhile we should heavily focus on Tejas and AMCA. Until Kaveri engine complete its trails, we should work with Safran for engine assemblies. We can never trust USA for defense stuff and Russia will also try to rebuild its army after their war ends, both will delay the delivery dates.
