Because India is biggest importer of defence equipment but now India is trying to become self reliant so US either want to collaborate or want to sell some weapon . Same with Russia . Russia deny the SU-57 TOT last year so India announced its own AMCA so that we will never become depended on someone else . But now after the announcement and the news the India has now MK1A and MK2 and in 10 years we have our own AMCA which is 5.5 and will be better then Russian current jets . Now Russia want to show it's SU-57 in India because India and China is only two country which can buy Russian equipment despite Sanction but India should focus on its own or take help from US which they are offring in 5 gen tech .

India actually has most of the Tech that the US refused to give S Korea, like IRST, AESA Radar, and stealth coatings. That was also years ago when AESA tech was far less available. With the exception of the Engine tech (which India has REALLY dropped the ball on) it isnt so much individual pieces that India needs. They need Lockheed's expertise at combining them all in such a way as to create a true 5th gen aircraft.

@@Jefe-Grande OK, haha :)) such a good student, although so slow, 1. for AWACS, or transporter, the RCS is over 80, so no problem for the enemy AWACS to find it 2. the jet carries PL 17 launch the missile, 45 degree up to the direction of the target, so called, high projectile trajectory, the first stage, the missile use rocket engine to get the altitude and speed, the second stage, the missile uses ramjet engine, with the help of gravity, to the target in long distance. 3. in the mid course, the missile is guided by satellite or AWACS or drones, or by ground radar, by receiving signals not necessary in X band, to the area of the target 4. in the terminal phase, the missile receive also multiple sources of target data, could be from air borne sensors, including the X band from AWACS, and then by the active radar and IR sensor on the missile to lock on the target. happy now??
