At night around 10pm they do this pooja at Swami Nataraja Sannadhi. I went with my dad in 2015. We were outside waiting for the bus. At that time heard this soulful music. Quiet extra ordinary. Sound,music, atmosphere, completely different level. Pooja went for half hour I believe. With grace of God I could able to witness this. Simply amazing and un believable experience.

This is known as kailaya isai in Tamil.It is believed that the Lord shiva dances to the tunes of this music in the form of Natarajar. That is a festival which is celebrated here in Tamilnadu during the Tamil month of Marzhaghi.During that festival, you can hear this music played everywhere in the temple and the devotees performing dance to the tunes in front of diety. The name of the festival is Aarudhra Dharisanam. if you are interested, you can visit Chidambaram, Madurai, Tirunelveli, coutralam and Tirualangadu in Chennai, where this festival will be celebrated in a grand manner.
