what is difference between scheduled and nationalised banks

Under RBI's purview, all banks operate and are classified as Scheduled banks and non Scheduled Banks. Nationalized banks are part of scheduled banks, "Nationalization, or nationalisation, is the process of transforming private assets into public assets by bringing them under the public ownership of a national government or state." So such scheduled banks which have been nationalized are called Nationalized Banks, at the moment there are 19 nationalized banks in India. eg: SBI, Allahabad Bank etc
