Please speak to Germans, improve your German language skills. I came to Belgium many years back. I have very limited contact with Indians. I concentrated in learning my Dutch language first. Watched local TV programmes, made local friends, socialice with Belgians, my colleagues.

You have to take the initiative to socialize irrespective of your preferred ethnicity, veer. Nahi to tik nhi paoge. Kya hurdles aa rhi hain to talk to locals? Is it that they don't want to talk to you? Or is it that you think you can't relate to them? When I landed in a remote village in France back in 2017 (for work), I couldn't find any desi to talk to, let alone an Indian. For 2.5 years. That wasn't an issue for me though, since the only worry that I had was about getting mugged/stabbed. The more you open up to others (doesn't mean that you share every small details of your life), the more others open up to you. And that's when you realise that you really can relate to them. Be a social animal, be courteous and your social image amongst others will increase. People like to be around those who remain happy. Wake up early in the morning, go to your nearest train station, pick up a newspaper, go to the smoking room and start a convo with the locals over there. Or, you can select a bus stop to strike convos as well. Aisa karo ke the place you live in, the locals get to know about you (for a good reason) within the next 6 months. Church mein jao, koi temples/gurudwaras hain to waha jao. I agree with others. Go to Berlin/Frankfurt once every couple of months. Flirt with the ladies. This part comes naturally and I'm afraid, can't be taught. 🤣
