Thanks! You're definitely not alone and I have various friends who all say the same thing that head, neck or back massage makes their nerve endings irritated and they can't help but clench their teeth and pull away. I think there is a massage for everyone. If a hand or a foot massage provides the relaxation you're looking for, then you don't need to look for an alternative body part. It could always be that you'll try out a back and shoulder massage one day and it just clicks - you never know if something will change within you or someone will approach it differently 😊

You said hacking has to be gentle but I've watched other Indian head massage videos (in India) on KZbin and they aren't gentle at all can you explain please?

Sure, I was deliberately very gentle with hacking in this particular demo but could have applied more pressure. With our adapted version that we're taught over here, we have to be careful not to be heavy handed as incorrect technique with the hacking move can be painful and uncomfortable. This can then cause discomfort to the client and if they have any neck or join issues they can be made worse. If you're trained, confident and know the pressures to use on each individual client then you can definitely increase the pressure. In a filmed demo that can be copied by people who might unintentionally perform it incorrectly, it's best to suggest a gentle approach. The videos I've watched that will be similar to what you're talking about are amazing! 😊

Massage can be made on someone who has a varicose vein on the leg? Can not massage the part of the leg where the varicose vein is. The rest of the body parts can be massaged?

Avoid varicose veins and depending on where you are massaging, it's a good idea to seek GP approval, to keep you and your client on the safe side :)
