When I test rode various Indians last October, I mentioned to the Indian corporate guy (not with the dealer) that I'd love to have a Chief with the PowerPlus engine. He looked a little startled, looked down and then started to smile. He said nothing but I got the distinct impression that Indian MIGHT be putting liquid cooling into more than just the Challenger and Scouts. I hope so! As it is, I'm pretty sure they're going to update the PowerPlus engine to the 112 c.i..

Good one, my friend, but I think you missed the mark on what platforms the 112 Power Plus is going into. Not a well kept secret that Indian (Polaris) has copyrighted a couple of new names and a schematic for a bat wing fairing type motorcycle with a Power Plus motor in it. We were just discussing on our podcast Tuesday night that I hope that it's not true as I am, as you well know, a Thunderstroke fan. If they bring out a Power Plus Chieftain and/or Roadmaster, I think it would be the beginning of the end of the Thunderstroke. It's not cost efficient to produce 2 types of engines and as we say with the valance fender models, they just become fewer & fewer till they are gone. We'll all be watching on the 24th to see what happens.....

I really hope the PP is going into the chieftain. I personally don’t want a challenger. My 2017 chieftain is ripe for an upgrade. A 112 PP chieftain will get Indian a sale from me

On a liquid cooled motor? Could be 15-20hp and 10-20 lb/ft tq increase. That would put it well above anything from HD.

It’s comparable to the 111 and the 116. I had a 111 and the 116 felt so much more powerful. So I would assume a 112 PP would be a nice jump from a 108PP. Even Harley’s 114 vs 117 are considerably different.

Well, I know the Mad Monkey 112 has somewhere around 130hp at the wheels, from what I hear... so I would imagine that it would be somewhere in that neighborhood

Indian and Harley are grossly overpriced Ride command compared to TFT screens on Japanese bikes That have gray rider aids for one third of the price

Mm, I think the Japanese market has its place and there are a few bikes that come close but imo IMC is one of, if not the best riding bike you can throw a leg over. Pricing isn’t always going to fit everyone’s budget but I think the range of products appeals to a wide range of ppl with quality machines
