Sadly, rescue operations like this do not endear India to the Pakistanis. Rather, it increases their resentment at having to be to be grateful to India. India needs to maintain a roster of Indian merchant navy men and the ships they are on, and focus on protecting those. Let the Pakistanis solve their own problems.

And after every encounter, indian media would then raise a Big Big chest thumping Boo-ha on how brave and tough the indians are. Pirates had been in the area for decades. Why india waited until now to fight pirates instead of the Houthis. And making use of this fighting against some easy small time Somalian pirates for adverts and advertising on how great and powerful indian navy is.
