@@Muddslinger0415 exactly. I doubt many of us will make it to 2045 but definitely not past 2060. The way things are going now, in 2024, I’ll be amazed if I live in the way I do now, by 2040. I’m thinking a planned self death around then if not sooner. I’m sure many others my age feel the same.

Considering how many people there are and how many of them own at least a balcony, quite a few owning gardens and land, planting greenery all around our homes 'would' make a significant difference. Gardens in the UK alone add up to many thousands of acres. Yet, what do they do within those acres? Many are still mowing tidy pieces of lawn, many of which are needlessly extensive, and nearly all of which have zero benefit for the climate. Indeed, they are often of negative value - due to the amount of energy spent mowing, the CO2 this releases, weedkillers, artificial feeds, mosskillers, fungicides, scarifies, edge trimmers, and whatever else I've missed. It is reported that a proportion of people are getting rid of more lawns. But what are they replacing them with? Not so long ago, there was a TV inspired trend to replace grass with gravel. It was an environmental disaster, much criticised by both garden experts and ecologists alike. Now there is a new trend to encourage people to 'stop mowing' - one of the foremost supporters being Joel Ashton (who has a delightful channel here on KZbin). But this is a trend that should see far greater adoption, not just in the UK, but the world over. Enough of the boring lawns that kids don't play on any more. Turn it to shrubs and trees. Not only do you give yourself more leisure time every weekend, but the wildlife will thank you for the flowers, the berries, the shelter and nesting places, and the air around your home improves significantly, sweetens with floral scents, and can be made to look pretty and interesting with every season. Changing from a boring lawns to extensive shrubberies isn't hard to plan. There are online guides that cost less than a cheap mower. There are KZbin channels like Joel's. And you could turn to permaculture, such as seen on Canadian Permaculture Legacy channel. Or you can combine the two (as I have, with a wild mini-woodland, mini meadow, wild flowers, veg patches, fruit trees and bushes which myself and the wildlife share... We didn't always end up sharing equally in the early days of the project, but the more berries and fruits I plant each year, the more we all end up enjoying (since birds are fiercely territorial and only so many will be able to occupy a garden).

If you look at a map of Earth, you'll see the Atlantic & Pacific ranges north/south from Pole to Pole, however the Indian ocean does not. So it's natural that more warm water will get trapped there leading to higher air temperatures.

Indian ocean warming up is really bad for the world's coastal regions since it will accelerate the already fast melting of more antarctic ice and raise water levels further all over the world. Hurricanes strengths in the Indian ocean will also increase dramatically in terms of wind speed and rainfall amount.

- We live in the same climate as it was 5 million years ago and the cancer will go away - I have an explanation regarding the cause of the climate change and global warming, it is the travel of the universe to the deep past since May 10, 2010. Each day starting May 10, 2010 takes us 1000 years to the past of the universe. Today May 09, 2024 the state of our universe is the same as it was 5 million and 113 thousand years ago. On october 13, 2026 the state of our universe will be at the point 6 million years in the past. On june 04, 2051 the state of our universe will be at the point 15 million years in the past. On june 28, 2092 the state of our universe will be at the point 30 million years in the past. On april 02, 2147 the state of our universe will be at the point 50 million years in the past. The result is that the universe is heading back to the point where it started and today we live in the same climate as it was 5 million years ago. Anyone who does not believe that the climate changed for the reason I mentioned should wait for cancer to disappear very soon because of this reverse movement, I will explain: the human body's immune system will be stimulated, activated and stronger as a result of this reverse process, which results in the disappearance of the cancer. What a nonsense, scientists trying the astrologer game?
@Debbie-henri
@Debbie-henri 6 ай бұрын
Scientists don't 'guess.' So no, they are not astrologers. Scientists have computerized prediction models that they use to make these assumptions. They use historical and present day data from 'all around the world' through ground based weather stations, satellites, and high altitude measuring equipment (carried on aircraft and balloons). And before you go doubting any of this, my father created the computer data collection programs for the British Climate Research unit back in the 1980's. He was an extremely clever man, who was also a lecturer and an examiner for Mensa. On testing the predictive capabilities of his data programs, he came across some extremely disturbing results, and when he arrived home he told me what would happen if humanity didn't change radically. So far, every one of those predictions he told me of have come true. Everything. Oh, and there's worse to come - and don't think it will be a matter for future generations. It's for ours. Exponential acceleration has already started.

@Debbie-henri 6 ай бұрын
No way. Where is the heat going to go to? How can it just vanish? It's being trapped by increased carbon dioxide levels, increased methane levels, increased water vapour levels, and the increased levels in a good many many made greenhouse chemicals 'still' being released into the atmosphere. Those gases are going to stay there, in the atmosphere, for decades, centuries, even millennia (according to whatever chemical we're considering). They trap new heat coming down from the sun every day. They trap new heat being produced by human activity every day. Very little heat escapes into space. So how do you suppose this heat will magically escape in 2100? There isn't a technology on Earth capable of doing that. So far, all we have to counter the problem is a few little machines to scrub a very little proportion of CO2 out of the air. But since these took a great deal of energy to create in the first place, it's debatable whether they are of any actual help at all (since they will need maintenance, and that in itself means that new components require energy for their manufacture. Also, these devices are like fans, and they need to bring in a great deal of air when CO2 concentrations are around 420ppm). The most promising route to clearing excess CO2 from the atmosphere is by employing those plants that grow fast and can be coppiced annually, stacking the removed growth to rot down into soil. As wood rots, it releases 90% of the CO2 captured back into the atmosphere. But this can take anything from a few years to decades (depending on the plant). By then, you have harvested a few to several more crops of plant growth, all in different states of decay. Plants ideally suited for coppicing (bamboo is one of the best for India and China. While Hazel, Birch, Beech, Buckthorn, Willow are best for Europe, Russia and America). The other benefit from coppicing is the production of new soil, which can be sold to benefit agricultural land and improve agriculturally/environment disaster damaged land. So, with the right plants, a lot of determination and hard work, and some land, someone could profit by this idea. It would take time, but time enough.
See what three degrees of global warming looks like
