Shoaib bhai, Good afternoon, I live in Shimla and Japani phal grows locally over there. It is called Persimmon fruit there. But Japani phal is not available everywhere in India. Shimla is the Capital of State of Himachal Pradesh and electricity per unit charges is Rs. 5.82 there. Electricity upto 125 units is provided free of cost to the people there. Government of Himachal Pradesh also provides subsidy on electricity bill. Excellent quality of nuts are sold there. I also mention here that a big full glass of sugar cane juice is available for Rs. 20. Such leather shoes are available all over India . I am surprised, why Mannu Mehta Ji dos'nt know about this. I think, he gave such statements in lack of proper knowledge about the market.

Japanese fruit is called RAMPHAL in INDIA. Though not native to India, it grows and is easily available in the regions of Assam, West Bengal, Gujarat, and Maharashtra. March to May is the period for this fruit but someplace they grow through the year and hence are available all year round. However it's not sold on streets but one can order online so costly in India.
