Basically Ali has sung this song as a tribute to those who speak Pashto in Pakistan. This is an old Pashto song so there might be other copies of it in Urdu etc.... but original is in Pashto. Initially he had sung a song called Laila O Laila in Balochi language. Then people started requesting him to sing in other major languages spoken in Pakistan. So next he did Allay in Sindhi, then this one. Apparently he will be releasing one in Saraiki aswell which is spoken in Southern Punjab region in Pakistan.

Pakistan ki music industry me ek khas bat hay, especially punjab lahore me, (k most of the singers n bands lahore se hi hain) k ek dusre ko support bht krtay, buhat unity bhai chara hay, koi jealousy competition nai hay. 90s n 2000s me sab bands k musicians ek dusre k liay bhi bjatay rahay etc. Is trah ali zafar ki adat hay k wo young talent ko bht promote krta aur jab koi new singer aey usay feature krwata. So us se pahlay 'alley' ek sindhi song me ek young bachi 12 sal ki gaya, ali ne usay promote kia. To yaha ye pashto me gul k sath gaya. Gul panra pashto songs me ek big name hay. Likin isk urdu songs etc nai hain aur isk mainstream songs me bas ek ye aur ek coke studio me atif aslam k sath hay "man amadam" jo ek farsi+urdu song hay. Gul ne farsi me gaya atif ne urdu me.
