(This tradition exists in Punjab, Sindh also, a girl is forcefully married off to a guy from the opposing tribe or family due to the fact that a male from her family committed a wrongdoing against the other family, so the girl is "punished" by being given in marriage, the men of her family can go free then, she pays the price for the sins the men in her family committed. I feel this drama talks about these topics to some extent, so just writing about this here.
