my guess is that it could be food waste - pecking multiple ripening fruit but not eating it all was a habit of parrots in our Australian orchard and it would lead to the fruit rotting and/or dropping. It wouldn't be bad if it was only one fruit and they actually ate it all but basically parrots definitely have capacity to ruin a crop if they feel like it just by pecking. No idea if that applies to the tendency of this species but there could be some b*tthurt food growers out there and i can actually sympathise because you've really got to see the extent of wasted pecked fruit to really appreciate the gravity of it even if the birbs are cute.
