Hey everyone, thanks for checking out Indian Rocks with us. What do you think, would Indian Rocks Beach fit into your budget? And if you are familiar with the area, do you have any budget friendly spots to add to the list? If so let us know!

You need to visit IRB north of the Kooky. Crabby's owns most of the restaurants in the video. While good, there are others. Salt Public House (sausage rolls), Beach Waves Grill, Keegan's, Groupers are just a few.

Been visiting Indian Rocks for 12 years and my favorite beach. But this last year the condo owners around the area increased rates so much it is no longer affordable. The condo I stayed in went up $700 from 2021.

Yeah, we've experienced drastic increases in our rent over the last couple of years, and with our current lease ending in January, we'll likely be looking at another huge increase. We're hoping we can find something reasonable in the area, but it's going to be a challenge. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment.

Spending every Saturday visiting different beaches in Florida sounds like the best plan ever! Love the bargain souvenir T shirt Jamie! I have to ask what do you guys mean when you say the bread tastes like Cuban? Paddle boarding looked lovely despite the choppy water, you guys are pros you can handle a little breeze 😄 well done for making it to the final three stops and getting dinner for under $20! Skylar definitely looks like you got a bit of sun on your face by the end too 😊
@Explorcation2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I may just have to start doing all my clothes shopping at CVS 😂 Yeah, Skylar definitely got a little bit red, but by the next day it always turns to a tan. It was nice to get out on the paddleboards again and was nice to find that we hadn't lost our sense of balance! My comment on the Cuban.... I basically just meant that the sandwich was made on cuban bread (a specific type of white bread used to make a Cuban sandwich). The bread was also pressed like a Cuban sandwich. Other than that though, it had none of the ingredients of a real Cuban Sandwich, so it was a bit strange that they still referred to it as a Cuban!

Thank you. This is the right level of detail for me. As I plan VBRO choices…endless variables of kitchen, washer dryer, #beds etc etc etc for a family, I am also trying to get a feel for every beach town. I’M more than happy to let the guys use the car, but meanwhile I want to have places to get out and walk to,enjoy a coffee and or light healthy snack. Before I commit however, I always need to know how much walking, and do I have a vintage shop? I don’t need much, but a shot glass or Tee shirt or really upscale metal magnet is the right size for me. This is a wonderful video. As I check on VRBO locations I can review your map and know more about details like coffee shop, snack shop, SUP, etc

Have to mention that a great place to stay is the Great Heron Inn, which you can from the beach in your video - it's an old school Florida courtyard motel, and very well run. IRB is such a gem.

I think I like this beach for it's low tourist numbers, but i suppose the budget friendly does help too. What do you guys have to do with your scooters when you not using them ? Do you have a bike chain to lock them up, or you don't have to worry about it? The beach doesn't seem to be a blue as some of the others you've featured, but looks similar to what we get a lot around here and I would definitely give it a go. We are starting to get into winter over here, but i suppose it's starting to warm up for you :) For a second there I thought the mangrove walk was the same one you went to a few weeks ago, but heard you mention it was similar.. there was some nice shady areas over the track giving your fair skin a bit of a break - I would have to do the same ! I think you were right about too much wind for paddle boarding but at least you gave it a go - although seeing the bridge going up would have been cool to see. The best way to end the night...seeing an amazing sunset - although the corn on a cob look delectable :)
@Explorcation2 жыл бұрын
It really is a nice beach when on a budget 😊 as far as our scooters, we do usually have a chain to lock them up to a bike rack. There are times we will fold them up an bring them into establishments and put them under a table, it just depends where we are. You are right, the water wasn't as blue the day we filmed. It had been quite windy, which makes the water choppy and the blue shades are not as vibrant. It is starting to warm up again so hopefully we will get some more filming days with no wind (spoiler that isn't the case for our next video LOL). Some of the mangrove walks do look very similar. I think there are way more of these walks around than I even knew about! I agree on your thoughts on the paddle boarding, it was too windy but I was still glad we tried it for a bit to see the bridge. That was the closest we have been to see a bridge like that go up and down! As always we sure appreciate your support and hope you are doing well 😊

Great video guys! As a Floridian, I encourage you guys to look into a little small historic town called port st joe fl. It’s on approximately 30 miles east of Panama City and has one of the top rated beaches in Florida “cape San blass” Its exactly what your looking for, cheap, super laid back with lots to do and a very very beautiful bay and beaches.
@pete2169nv2 жыл бұрын
I've been to Port st joe myself with the family about 2 years ago. Although a great town with great people, one thing to note is that the town itself, the people, do not want to be mentioned nor marketed by neither locals nor officials due to its exclusivity and old town history. You can talk with other folks and even read it up online yourself to fact check what I'm saying. If you choose to go and visit, go at your own will and pleasure to see and visit someplace new, but not popularize it and market the place. The people at Port st joe would rather stay unheard of because they value their small town and do not want their town to be marketed and filled by tourists like most other towns/cities. So please, I suggest to not even mention it here on the comments. The word can spread around real fast.
@Explorcation2 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for this recommendation. We've not yet made it up to the Panhandle, but it is certainly an area that we plan to explore sooner than later. We've heard a little about Port St Joe before, and the more we hear about it, the more it seems like our type of place!
