Nice original scout with Bosch DVAR mag. Is the bike Swedish origin? Why is gear shifter on the left? Maybe right hand throttle.

Hi ALA - yes, it is believed that this bike is of Swedish origin. The gear shifter is on the left right because of practical matters - the owner simply felt more comfortable with this setting. However, it is no big deal to switch it back again.

Really nice 101 but the grips are 1939/1940 and the front brake lever looks to be 1946.

Was the speedo an add-on accessory option?

@@garygullikson6349 I think it was an option. Btw, the speedo on this Scout is not the original one but looks to be a 1940 european model (same as the CAV).
