How Indian Startup Ecosystem is just a Funding Bubble?
Entrepreneurship is on a rapid rise in India. India is amongst the top five start-up ecosystems in the world. The fear of a funding bubble or the high valuations that venture capital investors appear to pay on few occasions emanates from inadequate understanding of the investment strategies and risk management frameworks that successful venture capital firms deploy. Also, a few highly successful start-ups with astronomical valuations and a few spectacular failures get discussed disproportionately creating the perception of a funding or valuation bubble.
The government has taken several steps to give Indian start-ups required fillip, especially with its Start-up India initiatives recognising its criticality in the growth of Indian economy. With the combined efforts of entrepreneurs, investors and government coming together, this decade is likely to be the best decade for start-ups and we can expect to witness the rise of a few global enterprises from India.

First of all Our so-called startups are running behind VALUATION and not VALUE CREATION. Once they reach the 1B mark, they drop everything, take out an IPO and leave the market. If the founders themselves don't have any trust in their company then how will the common have in that company? Apart from that there is no real innovation that will actually help the masses, either the startups are a copy of their Western counterparts or just another bland thing that solves no problems. Many don't even have an idea of what the people of India actually want. Why will someone invest in a company where there is no long-term value? All the startups we see now are focused on giving out a SERVICE rather than focusing on major problems in the country like, agriculture, logistics, healthcare, security, etc. We need to be having a balance between services and actual products. The last thing I want to say is that the VISION is very LIMITED, we see short-term gains but forget the long-term race.
