@branandubh where do you get your tanpuras from , which maker ?

Nice Video, What's your opinion of the smaller 'flat' tanpuras? How do they compare the traditional big ones like you have? I've heard that don't sound as good.

They can sound ok when they are full length, and much easier to travel with, but the short little ones dont have much sound usually. They can be ok for a live performance if you combine them with an electronic tanpura track.

@@branandubh Thanks for the reply, Branan, very helpful. Are the strings thicker on the smaller tanpuri ones? I had a small flat tanpuri and the strings seemed to be guitar strings and quite thick and tight im guessing on full size they are loser and thinner? The tanpura in this video sounds amazing.
