I Tried Raw Salmon fish in sushi and I really like it. Although the texture is new, the taste is not drastically different, and after a few tries, I got used to it.
Most beginner sushi rolls contain rice (the most important ingredient), avocado, cream cheese, and/or raw fish. If the thought of raw fish scares you, you can order it without meat or choose a vegetable roll instead.

Trying new cuisine is intimidating specially when its too different from ours. Kudos to you! I cannot eat fish so I won't try this one but I did try Vegetarian version in Delhi once. I know it might not be authentic but I liked the texture of rice. It had so much flavor. Very different from long grain rice which we usually have.

I was also afraid of raw fish, but trust me there is nothing to worry about. in sushi there is specific type of fish which does not stink. I kind of liked it. Also there are veg sushi as well, i will suggest you to try that 1st.
