I just want to ask you that do'nt u think arijit singh has a super versatile voice texture with which he can hit any range or genre. And on the other hand Sonu Nigam, who is undoubtedly a great singer, has certain limitations based on genre?....So in live performances if you are trying to hit every note and mix varied styles as Arijit is doing, those minute distortions are'nt an issue? ..And if a live show is all about technicalities then it becomes Indian idol minus the drama😂

I am not comparing anybody with anyone.. I just gave an example of live performance.. He (Sonu Nigam) tries to sing very close to how he sang in the studio.. Whereas Arijit Singh takes a different approach.. Do you think I don't know about the styles.. I have analyzed both the styles very carefully. There is no comparison thing happening here. Gud reaction..but I got one issue. I don't understand why the analysis reaction was carried out by citing differences from Sonu MTV unplugged. Comparative analysis between Sonu unplugged and arijit live is unfair!.as the circumstances/atmosphere is different. The unplugged MTV versions have retakes in case of any mistake and the song is re recorded / re - rehearsed until final flawless take is obtained. What gets released is the version/ cover that's high on technical content with no doubt Sonu always in correct pitch. The MTV live is more of spontaneous crowd interactive session with just 1 single live take. Thus, as u rightly say, mistake or casual approach happens in some areas due the crowd energy but something extraordinary like "classical notation" also takes place. Considering his vast classical background, it's highly possible that the particular raga-notation may not have been rehearsed the same way like that , it rather comes like a spontaneous improvisation that keeps you hooked and intrigued till the end. There is more learning in arijit performance from live performer point of view than Sonu performance, without doubting or comparing vocal skills of both these legends.
