Absolutely heartbreaking. I wonder if it is not so much that the players don't want to give her advice and more that it may be hard to figure out how/what to say to a floor general. They are all really young. This is more on the coaching for me. Especially during the first month when there were no practices. In-game coaching would've been extremely useful. Instead, they are left to figure it out for themselves and they are clearly exhausted.

Really hard to get a shot off when you're getting double and triple teamed. If you knew anything about basketball which you obviously don't....Boston was setting weak screens and Seattle was instantly blitzing her leaving one option which is to pass to Boston 2 feet inside the 3 point line and she doesn't shoot from there and by the time she drives in the defense has already collapsed on her. The only way Clark is going to get open is them setting double screens. You can't run the same play over and over and expect it to work. Once the ball leaves Clark's hands she NEVER gets it back.

I don’t think the question was about advice from her coach or teammates, I believe it was about vets in the league or retired which is why she answered no. She gave the same answer a few games ago when she was asked a similar question, I think it was right at the beginning of the season. I feel awful for her, some of her teammates are legitimately awful and her coach is too. I hope someone in the league that’s a vet will eventually reach out to her and give her advice on how to adapt etc as it will help her. I still remember when she told JuJu Watkins to call her anytime for advice and also told JuJus team to call her if they need help, to hear that vets in the WNBA haven’t done the same for Caitlin is heartbreaking. I hope she’s ok ☹️

It was embarrassing to watch. Caitlin played pretty well, watching her passes go through her teammates’ hands. Her team was just throwing the ball in the general direction of the backboard. Wheeler should be gone. Mitchell was a ball hog of course.

So, take all the time you need somewhere else Christie Sides, Good Bye. For the life of me I don't understand why Aliyah Boston is guarding the 3-point line on defense? all Christie Sides doing. Any other team has all their big players on defense, underneath the basket fighting for rebounds and on the paint blocking shots, the smaller players guard the 3-point line, since they are faster than the bigger players and can go on a fast break to score after a rebound pass from the big players. (Aliyah Boston you are the only player I would keep in the indiana fever to play with CC, and replace the rest of the team and coach) No coaching advice for Caitlin Clark before a game, that is shameful the way Christie Sides treats the star player of the indiana fever. That is right Caitlin Clark is the star player of the indiana fever get it together ladies and fall in line with the program or get out of the way. The never-ending Infamous Christi Sides mode of operation: Don't set ANY plays for CC...especially if she does well in the first half. Keep the ball from her in the second half. That's not what she said and that goes without saying, that she's asking for a break. She clearly stated veterans aren't talking to her. All she wants to do is play basketball. She doesn't want to be in the back and forth that goes on. She is talented and I'm not taking that away from her. Her and Angel will both be dynamic players for yrs to come. The media unjustly created an environment that she doesn't want. You can have favorite players. There's nothing wrong with that, but you have to understand that other players are just as good too .

i keep hearing the word "learning" but the coach still doing the same thing several games already, no adjustments? was there any play/screens for clark? clark should be more aggressive taking more shots work on her mid range too, she has alot of following seeing her just waiting around for the pass to come back to her is getting boring, mitchell is not shy to take a shot every single time she has the ball even if how awful the shot is, mitchell looks like only plays for stats as long as she gets her qouta nothing else matters, practice basic picks and screens and cutting to the basket most especially parctice holding/receiving "pass"

One of the main most important responsibility as a coach , is to build a team , build trust amongst your team , build a strong bond around them , and that's the problem with your coaching . Your team has no chemistry , everyone's playing for themselves . Would like to know the amount of people in this comment section that actually watched the game last night? If you really listen to the end of this press conference, I think you can hear the coach really try to indicate that the team HAS to find a way to get Caitlin open. ‘15 shots minimum’ ‘getting the ball back at the end of the action’ even calling out for the first time that ‘players aren’t converting on the passes she’s feeding.’ I am as critical of this coach as anybody, but I do fully believe to see this team begin to make Caitlin the focal point of this offense. During these actions, to my mind the only ones who should have the ability to halt the action and make a play off the dribble should be Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell. Erica Wheeler, Kristy Wallace trying to make something happen off the dribble rather than waiting for the action to develop I believe cost Caitlin at least 4-5 real good looks tonight.

Taylor locked down Dewanna Bonner for 6 mins in one of the few games she played. Blocked shot , made her adjust and miss. In short, she has defensive skills. Wallace has zero length , anticipation , timing or athletics for defense

Great news that she and Aliyah have bonded. Boston is very caring, a good mentor spiritually (she calms herself with gospel music) and she really gives it her all on the court. The “nobody gives me advice” comment was in response to the question “What is the best advice a VET has given to you in games?” This was not about her coach or teammates. In the Sky/Aces game prior they were talking about how even the vets on the opposing teams are constantly giving Angel Reese advice, so I think this question was asked to see if CC has had the same experience and she obviously has not.

There's a lot going on here . G.O.A.T. NCAA player, media drama. Huge Nike contract, media attention, jealousy, some hate and resentment and divisiveness. You work with what you got. You create team chemistry and a team environment where every player brings out the best in each player.
