The first half was some of the best WNBA basketball I’ve seen. One thing I give Coach Sides was matching the lynx’s lineup changes but coach was not effective in the 3rd. The offense was stagnant and the lead got away. They should learn a lot after watching the tape. If they can improve the offense a little bit more I would not want to face the fever in the playoffs. Turnovers and defense have to improve as well but I have faith

The problem she never calls a time out unless is 10+ behind, I have commented here many times, i don't know what her deal is. Every NBA and WNBA coach I have seen will call the time out once the team falls behind from ahead.

Clark blames herself. Sides always blames everyone else and praises the other team more than her own. Herb Simon needs to fire Dunn and Sides and hire Cheryl Miller as HC/GM. Sides makes bad decisions, rarely challenges bad calls, never calls time outs when she should, plays the wrong players all the time and cannot make adjustments at the half. Sides always blames execution but cannot explain what her thinking or plan is. Sides wants to play slow half court basketball - the Fever are not built for that kind of game.Sides has no defense! She is a below average assistant coach that is in over her head. The only person that can defeat Clark is Sides. Wheeler and Katie Lou are the highest paid cheerleaders in the WNBA.

The commissioner does not implement necessary changes, she does not address needed concerns by teams and players, she does not hold coaches, or even players accountable for misdeeds misconduct or unsportsmanlike conduct., The officials, many of which need retraining, because they’re officiating is More at the junior high level than a professional level, and the commissioner does absolutely nothing for the league. It’s sad to know that many games come down to- Not who scored the most points, but how the game was officiated, and that’s just some thing that any commissioner with any sense would be addressing. The Fever are an excellent team chocked full of talent, but are sadly Dealing with a coach, who makes the most counterproductive decisions, and some of the most ridiculous, coaching I have ever seen in any sport for that matter.

Coach, I never was a fan of yours, but I started to lean your way. Now I’m back to the beginning. You had 2 players telling you the 1foul on Lexi, was clean. It was, Lexi never touched the other player. But you never challenged it. You should have, then she wouldn’t have fouled out. It should be you taking a technical, when refs aren’t being fair. Have your players backs. If the ref is bald, ask him if his hair got in his eyes. Pump your players up with a technical. They will love you for it. Do more than just standing there with your arms folded or squatting down.

Iowa vs Louisville in the Elite 8, 2023. The score is 8-0, Louisville. Bluder calls a time out. Iowa comes back out, takes the lead, wins by 14 points, Caitlin gets the only triple double in NCAA tournament history, men and women's. Sides does not do this. Fever is down, takes out her best players. Let's Mitchell just dribble the ball around for a whole quarter while Caitlin is sitting on the bench. But hey, it is all Caitlin's fault. At least Caitlin owns her mistakes, even though she has all those tire marks on her body because Sides not only throws her under the bus but drives it over her. I thought we had all made it clear to Sides that if you have an issue with a player, any player, you discuss it with them in private, not in front of reporters. At what point is she going to realize just how much she sucks at coaching? Call Bluder and let her teach you something if you are going to continue coaching.

Bluder had CC22 for years. And Caitlan is still the worst defensive player on the team if not the entire league. Bluder had 4 years with CC and could not win. So what you just said was total crap. She has too many turnovers in 4th quarters. The splash sisters got a reality check. dont dribble against swarming D. Early passes relocate. Its not rocket science. Every game from now needs to be a playoff game mentality for this team as part of their next progression. Except for Hull, Wheeler and Mitchell. The rest of the team need to do 1000 crosses of the court in low stance lateral slides every second day. They all dont get low enough. Sides didnt have aqn awesome game but they all lost. Not her alone. So stop all the pitchforks you clowns. Lynx have beaten just about every team in the league all season. Experienced playing together. This is season 1 stop stop all the BS. Sides can’t call a timeout to save her life, anytime the opposing team is going on a run. She calls it only after the team scores 12+ points. She needs to regroup the team a lot faster. What a class act this whole team is. The entire team was receiving blatant fouls from Minnesota and the refs never called a single foul, yet this coach and these talented young ladies kept their composure and played hard...without blaming and making excuses. This team is so much fun to watch because they share the praise, they pass the ball to their teammates and they actualky care about eachother and their smiles on and off of the court are contagious. Unlike many of the other teams, where they're always angry, mean and selfish. You can see the difference in their comradeerie. Supporting these young, talented girls all the way.

So great to hear Caitlin recognize that her turnover was the momentum killer. She had an open look at the basket which she had not had in a while. If she hits the 3 they go up 2 and there defense is able to get set and the pressure would be on them. But instead they steal the ball hit a 3 and go up 4 and note the pressure is on them and the air was gone from the gym.

Yeah, I thought I was all wrong about that but you can see the difference in the coaching perspective and CC’s perspective of how the game went through 4 quarters of the game. Phil Jackson didn’t control the players he give him perspective on the game and he left it to them to execute and put their stamp on the plays. I think he won a few games a few championships six and Chicago and a couple in LA. But he never forced the issue about coaching. He given him his perspective on the place and let them be the players they are. I am not sure because I could use feedback on that.

Caitlin Clark is in the MVP conversation as a ROOKIE. Caitlin is already as good a basketball player as A. Wilson. A. Wilson plays on a Super Team with 3 other Olympic players. She doesn't have to deal with constant double and triple teams like Caitlin does. Caitlin Clark is the most impactful basketball player in the WNBA. CC runs the fast break like Magic Johnson, passes like John Stockton and shoots like Stephen Curry! CC even has the Tongue Wag of MJ! I thought one ref in particular was really, really bad. The others were as good as I've seen. Watch the tape if I'm wrong. However, CC made some terrible decisions with the ball tonight. Can't have that. And lastly....Sides needs to get the defensive side of the ball turned around or she needs to go. The Lynx were shooting practice shots out there, over and over. That's COACHING. Make adjustments during the game, figure this out. Nope. And they obviously need more depth off the bench. Wheeler is a great teammate but older and short. You can't have Mitchell and Wheeler on the floor against a much taller Lynx team and expect to get buckets. I think the Lynx are the worst matchup for the Fever so there is that. And the FEver had a B- game today if I had to grad them. Lynx probably had a B+ game, but again, so many wide open practice 3's. Ugh.

What are you even talking about, this is th toughest matchup for the Fever. Did you not watch their last game? We only won when Phee wasn't even playing and even then it was close. The Lynx is just a better team. We had our chances but we gave it away and then they kept dropping bombs to finish it. Coach Sides please consider a 3-2 zone that morphs into a 2-3 AT TIMES during future games against Lynx and other teams until your roster changes next year. Your current 3 point defense can not cover all their shooters. Too many easy open 3s and not enough hard 2s. Look at what my Celtics did to defend the 3 point line. Fever at times this year has done extremely good job on defending 3 point line with certain players on court. Hard 2s but NEVER NEVER easy open 3s. New Fever Fan. Run Run Run them all in the ground and the 4th quarter is Fever Time.

The coaching was atrocious. But the reffing was even more atrocious. Even ION refused to ever show replays for every controversial call, of which there were a bunch, but did immediately then show completely unrelated and noncontroversial plays.

Yes - Where was Sides! Her team was getting mauled and I did not see her working the refs at all. Getting a tech in this game was very warranted - maybe even getting thrown out on their behalf. The Lynx were very physical with us yet on our end we were called for light contact. They shot twice as many free throws. Sides needed to show her team she is going to fight for them so that this frustration does not build to this point. These refs were horrible.

Stop whining about calls, because it is the players responsibility to recognize how the games are being called and adjust. Tonight games was an example of what happens when you are out coached, play poor defense, and get too emotional. Also, the offense looked completely stagnant. Need more size and other bigs who can make shots and athletes who can play defense.

It didn't seem to me she was being overly critical of Caitlin.
