Indy is back. For his last adventure. Again. This time, old Indy is on his biggest quest yet- getting CUCKED by being relegated to a side character in his own film to an annoying new girl boss. I think Die Hard 4 is a fine addition. He still acts like John McLane, wants to help people, complains a lot, but still does the job. The villains keep telling him how he's old and outdated (the villains mind you, not his sidekick, not his daughter), but he comes out on top in the end. Die Hard 5, on the other hand, reuses footage, makes John look like a joke and a jerk, and tries to focus on his ungrateful son. Also, McLane's lived through a lot of things that should've killed him, but walking into Chernobyl is a step too far.

OK then, will someone please tell me how is it that an iconic archeologyist end up at the end of his (teaching life) and point that having had his hands on so many one offc antiquities then be living in a shitty apartment esp when the "mcmuffin," at the beginning of the film ,end esp being kept from dying until the time travel ending where "Somehow brown short round steals a plane "so HE flies now!" And he a Fleabag save the day (and Indiana Jones ) in the last time we will ever see this last hurrah of this Icon of the silver screen...what a shameful waste of this character imo !

I actually had fun watching the movie, trying to forget all the bs. But then the ending has been in my head for days. Fleabag actually had to save an old man, from staying stuck in the past and punched him in the face to bring him into the present. Little on the nose for the woke movement. I actually put aside all the nonsense until that point and then everything bad about the film started to stand out. PS... I should have prefaced this by saying I pretty much enjoy every movie the first time through just because it is something new. I even liked Thor Love and Thunder, which is one of the worst movies in the last ten years.

I thought John Williams has been alseep at least a decade now.. I remember thinking Force Awakens score was distractingly bland for a Star Wars film.. in fact, I thought Mike Giacchino did a better modern star wars score (than Williams) with Rogue One.. ..after Marvel's Phase 4 was a total disaster, for what basically came down to, "letting the girls have a turn" , youd think disney would have learned by now.. i mean, its still a bad film regardless, but probably because the whole idea spawned from "lets modernize indiana jones for modern audiences with modern women" ..what's crazy is, these entertainment products didnt have to be bad.. but all these Low T men wont stand up to bad ideas pitched by other Low T men, nodding in silence to diversity hires in front of woke executives.. must be a nightmare. No wonder these movies are bad.. Like, how many dozens of checks do movies go through before hitting the screen.. and no-one along the way says, "she an awful obnoxious character" or "this humour isnt working" or anything? Something? ..it boggles my mind how these things get made and expected to perform.. i mean, even if they live in another reality, money still talk, right? .. they still havent caught on.. and again, what's with blaming the men if movies dont perform? ..can women not buy movie tickets? ..they only ever went to the movies if guys took them so they dont know how? ..same with female athletes.. "they deserve as much as men! (but we dont want buy tickets for them)" ..

They will never understand that there needs to be balance. They swing the pendulum until it goes completely in the opposite direction. Women can kick ass in movies. They just don't understand that it doesn't have to be at the expense of every guy around them. Tons of people watched this before it was decided that it was finished and all they all thought this is exactly what the Indiana Jones fans wanted. Of course you'll get those who just love anything that exists and will defend it, but it's an uphill battle to defend this film.

@@hardcutreviews 💯 ..I was thinking, how come they never remake the movies with badass female characters that are already female? Eh? Is this ever mentioned in the board room? Obviously not.. what, they're ashamed of Sara Connor and Ripley and Leeloo and whoever! ..strong female characters are out there! .. ( they could always invent their own perfect character! ) ..naw, this might sound misogynistic but this whole trend of females culturally appropriating male characters reek of, "can I come hang out with you guys on boys night?? what?.. c'mon.. And while Im watching your video, I need to point out the major plot hole (you will probably bring it up) Why would Indy think that finding Fleabag with the dial would clear him of murder? And what happened to those charges??? Oh, and I cant believe you didnt mention the 70S BUSH under Fleabags arms in the scotter scene. It was a little horrific.

There were no new catchy main themes on the music , I heard slight renditions of jaws, like recycled older John Williams maybe he’s too old to come up with new themes the only thing I got out of that were his playful motifs that you can tell were him . Also , if they had brought back short round instead of her that would’ve brought back people in droves everyone loves short round. I would’ve brought back him and begged Shia labuff to come back and made it a trio and have him banter and dad then around, have them carry the heavy action stunts

Loved the review! Kathleen Kennedy has single handedly - dismantled Lucas Film and Disney Film over the past ten years. I would go as far as to say, she has personally lost both companies over $5 billion dollars in scripted revenue. How is this ever possible with a pedigree so deep in modern film history, Disney have stood by and watched this woman take fan driven legacy franchises to the nearest cliff and then throw them off. Kennedy has said the fans don't matter - it's important to bring on a new fan base, try telling the Disney bean-counters - that's your plan. Seriously this woman has been out of her depth from the very beginning, as stated by Steven Spielberg 2008. With her IQ of limited creative ability - Hollywood politics from the "Me Too" movement; woke ideas and nonsensical narratives, she is truly the grim-reaper of Executive Producers. I do feel sorry for James Mangold and Harrison Ford who tried every day to make this pig's ear of a script into something - any thing - but this film was in production for months - with endless re-shoots and script changes - it must have felt like working for the Taliban! Production companies aren't designed around throwing hundreds of million at a film with no audience support - even the test audiences hated it - they needed success! Indy has instantly become KK's most unwatchable movie to date - and is sure to bomb across every market! Of course Disney will say it made it's money back once they hand it on to Disney + for $500 million company roubles - by that point no one will care. NB I have heard KK is producing season 4 of The Mandalorian and season 2 of Andor - such a tragedy as Andor was a step out from Star Wars; with a truly cerebral script - great heroic characters and believable off world locations - okay Scotland! If she gets her hands on season 2 - GOD help us - in fact GOD help us anyway!

I consider myself moderately liberal politically, but extreme wokeism pisses me off almost as much as nepotism and racists! This modern trope of castrating a cinematic legendary character (Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Indy, etc.) to prop up a 'new generation' of characters is fucking pathetic. I'm certain that Kathleen Kennedy planned for Helena Shaw to spin off this series. And although I don't agree with everything your channel stands for, I wholeheartedly support your review here. Top Gun Maverick did legacy heroes the best! And this was a travesty!

Appreciate you saying this. While we can lay on things pretty thick at times, that doesn’t mean we’re looking for movies with overt conservative messaging in them either. Quite the opposite. Neither of us want that. We just want great movies without agendas in them. There are ways to pass on the torch from legacy to new generation without taking a dump all over the legacy. Creed is the perfect example. Those movies work well and they didn’t need to emasculate Rocky to do it. We don’t care if you’re liberal or conservative. Come back any time to chat about movies.
