5yrs latter the race at Putnamville,IN is still the GREATEST sprint car race ever. It was a MAGICAL night and in my opinion will never be duplicated ever. And I have been going to a lot of sprint car races since 1952 when my Dad first took me to The Action Track at age 6yrs at Terre Haute,IN to see Tommy Hinnershitz that very hot afternoon. It was fair time then and they use to close the fair with a sprint car race. The stands were always FULL!! Dave Darlin came out on top at Putnamville. From: TimC.. Terre Haute, IN and yes I still have the Chevy Monza in the picture.

I just keep watching this video over and over. And on a cool summer night at the last race at Putnamville, IN I saw the greatest Sprint Car Race ever and I have seen Foyt, Unser, Rutherford, etc.. The last two or three laps were constant "Slide Jobs" with Darlin coming out as the winner!!! FROM: TimC..
