Trey, my homeboy from Northern Indiana, does a little bit of everything well, except for three-point shooting and free throws. Mgbako had his best game of the season, his rebounding and interior shooting has definitely improved. I liked the way that Woody used his bench to deal with foul trouble.

if iu finishes 10 and 10, 1 more game, home against msu and can go 2 and 1(i have them opening up with maryland and then playing northwestern, both games i think they can get-even though they have lost twice to northwestern and ultimately losing to purdue in the semi's) in the big10 tourney that would get them to 20 and 14, i know there NET is around 100, but shouldn't 10 and 10(even record in big 10 play) and 20 wins be enough, and despite that NET ranking why wouldn't 19 and 14 be good enough???

It's not only about how many wins but who else you beat (and their own profiles), how they are beaten, and the entire year. A current win streak in a bad big 10 means nothing for the big dance

@@prakashp2450 is the big 10 really "bad" though, this information was just taken from the big 10 website dated 3/6/24 and appears accurate: Eight Big Ten teams rank in the top-60 in Tuesday’s NET rankings, including four in the top 25. Ten Big Ten teams currently rank in the top-65 in today’s Kenpom rankings, including four in the top-25. Purdue leads the way at No. 3, followed by Illinois (#12), Michigan State (#19), Wisconsin (#22), Nebraska (#34), Northwestern (#47), Iowa (#49), Maryland (#52), Ohio State (#53), and Minnesota (#61)-all 3 of the teams from this win streak are in this list and 2 of those games were on the road, in situations where you know those teams are fighting for a spot just like iu. The Big Ten closed its nonconference slate with a combined 117-37 record. The Big 12 (144-34), SEC (132-47), Atlantic 10 (131-60), and ACC (119-46) collected more wins, but the Big Ten’s .760-win percentage falls behind only the Big 12 (.809). Among the B1G’s 117 victories are 9 wins over AP Top 25 opponents. Article further mentions my biggest problem with the big 10 but i must admit that i don't follow the other conferences as closely but i have heard other pundits mention it during tourney time as a problem for the big 10 and that is the home court advantage/officiating problem. it just has seemed to me that as far back as i have followed college basketball, 40 or so years, winning on the road is near impossible unless you are that elite team, as home teams seem to catch timely whistles and foul disparities between home and road seem to not be very equal, which i think becomes a problem during tourney time, when all games are played on neutral courts and teams can't rely or work around known officiating procedures that teams can sometimes overcome a few times during the known/familiar big 10 schedule. not only did the individual talent get discussed as being close to some of the elite teams in the country, it seems more spread out in the big 10, i mean even purdue from a talent ranking situation does not have a handful of 4 and 5 star players, look at their best player and the biggest problem/individual difference maker in the league the last 2 years, he is not even projected by most services as being good enough to sit on the end of an nba bench?

I'm still in shock how PP the Minnesota Gophers played tonight on their home court against a bad Indiana team. I'm shakeing my head bc they almost beat Purdue on their home court just 3 weeks ago and played decent against other teams in the Big 10. All Minnesota had to do tonight is just win the game so they could qualify pretty easily for the NCAA tournament committee but they layed a big egg and lost by alot of points. Soo weird to watch this kind of bad basketball especially when it's in March. Soo really is this Minnesota team? Soo odd.
