Geno, Goff, Darnold, Baker, Carr, Feilds, even Willis to a lesser degree… all QBs that needed time to mature and their former teams dumped them to find success later in their careers.. do we want to be that fan base.. do we want to be that organization🤷

My concern with AR, when it comes to a QB, throwing the ball can’t be a weakness for a QB. I am still hopeful that he can dial it in, but it’s tough when a QB’s biggest issue, is the actual throwing of the football. Still hopeful he can turn it around

Steichen needs to put the pressure off of him, and allow JT to be the focal point. That should hopefully open up things to make it easier on AR.

Yup. Totally agree. Run the offense through JT. Make him the focal point, as you say, and let AR relax a bit.

I agree with most of it but AR is making all the hard throws and missing the easy ones. And I’d like to add that Mitchell has to come back toward the los and get that pass deep to him instead of just waiting on the ball to get there

If your being honest he has been bad in every game he has completed aside the 1st jags game. 50% or worse passer in all games since. Even the texans game this year. If the safries break up the deep balls to pierce, hed have been horrendous. And if he cant hit the chunk play at this point he might be the worst QB ever...and thats not a joke.

We won’t know for sure until the end of next year if I’m being realistic. He’s definitely overthinking it. He has all the tools, the question is whether or not he can put it all together.

AR is like that new bike you get and you want to do all these neat tricks with but spite what you want to believe you are still learning to ride & you have training wheels on. AR has all the tools to be a great QB, but has quite not learned how to use them all the right way. Steichen wants to throw the ball but is limited due to ARs decision making & inaccuracy. Steichen needs to rely on JT and run rpo & play action until AR can show the ability to play efficient. Simplify it like the ravens did with Lamar his first few seasons.

He finds the right guys, but then is inaccurate just like in college. That will take some time. We picked the best QB available at the position and going for a veteran just wasnt an option after the failed back to back seasons

Too much adrenalin being excreted by AR's limbic system. That's the problem. He's just throwing it too hard and too long. As he settles down, has some success, and gains some confidence, that will pass.

He can't even throw the ball 10 yards to a open receiver. 4th pick in the first round should make that throw in his sleep. Over throws were not only against Bears. We will see against Steelers D.

How hard is it to figure out not to throw the ball to high? I am not a QB, but I just wonder how that can be corrected! I think the answer is he just needs to practice, practice, practice!!!

@@Coltsfan421 Okay. Regardless, if it sailing or he is throwing it high that is semantics. The question again is can it be fixed. I believe that it can be through repitition and practice! Just like shooting a basketball. The more shots you take the better you get!

@Coltsfan421 23 сағат бұрын
@@SemperColtsFan yes it can be fixed and part of it but not all of it will be live reps and practice but it's mainly not arm throwing using his mechanics would be the main fix and sometimes just dialing down the nervous excitement in seeing open receivers. But he will be fine. He will get there.

AR is fine … he needs reps ! Like look at his college career he didn’t have a lot of games under his belt & now in the nfl he’s at his 7th start he just haven’t had enough time to even settle down on top of that the time of possession we be having in these games isn’t enough to see what the defense is doing against him …….. Tom Brady the other day mentioned how important it was for him to earn his starting spot in college & then getting the opportunity to getting prepared to make a real impact in the NFL & watching film & working behind the scenes & really working hard , being a good nfl QB takes a lot of hard work

@@beckg777I agree that he (currently) is not fine. He’s horrible. He’s also incredibly incredibly raw. Which shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone who watched him at Florida, but a lot of my fellow Colt fans had way too optimistic expectations for him this season. I wasn’t excited that they drafted him. I wanted them to sell the farm to trade up for Stroud (not sure how realistic that was). But I had Colts fans hype AR as the correct pick because he could dunk a basketball. I swear to god, real live Colt fans thought that meant something. With all that said, I have no idea how he will pan out. He could be exactly what you say, Fields, which was my concern when we drafted him.

He isn’t fine. But he could be. He’s incredibly raw. I’m surprised so many of my fellow Colts fans are surprised by his horrible play. He wasn’t that good at Florida. Tons of talent. But he is a huge project. I think he’d benefit from holding the clipboard for a season or two. He’s nowhere near ready to lead a winning NFL team.

AR was terrible draft pick by a desperate QB And now steichan won't run him cause he can't stay healthy so his best attribute doesn't exist. ARs best hope was to run it 20 times a game and win while he figured it out. Ultimately he is not accurate enough to play in league. He has no consistent fundamentals and he never developed them in HS and college. It's easy to say wait and be patient but as losses pile up that becomes harder.
