Ms Diva herself. i am an alumni of the University of Arizona. i took a few classes of hers and attended many readings of hers in Kansas and in Arizona. she's incredibly divine. however, she's a "diva" - quite full of herself. since i am Navajo Indian myself (just like her), i always viewed her as an iconic individual for herself and our tribe - a goddess (if you will), but she has never been super kind. Never kind at answering fan questions, staying after classes to answer questions from students, nor hosting conversations with fellow Navajos. in fact, my English adviser once dubbed her a "diva" of the UofA English department. sad. ha ha ha. :-D
