Meribah Brown 9 hours ago I had a look at your site. You don't have comments so I will comment here. It is very educational and beautifully shot. I too like birds and I have been to India, but in big cities so did not notice the bird life. We too have Kingfishers, Mynas, Owls, Parakeets, Crows ( Currawongs), Bee Eaters, Bulbuls, Kites, Cormorants, Egrets and of course, Ducks. We have swallows and pidgeons, but they may have been introduced, not native to Australia. There are many similarities in appearance, likely as birds of course can be migratory. I really enjoyed your channel and have subscribed. Kind regards.

Different types of birds - owl, kingfisher, drongo, eagle, egret, shikra, mynah, cuckoo, red vented bulbul, purple sunbird, cormorant, parakeet - can be seen in or near Whitefield area, Bangalore. Cormorants, egrets, kingfishers, and the like, probably because there are Varthur, Gunjur, Bellandur, Hoskote and a few more lakes in the vicinity. This has made birds watching a nice hobby. That is the reason I am here 😀. Particularly when you see the painted stork, herons, and such at Hoskote lake, apart from the aforementioned cormorants, kingfishers, egrets, etc. It is the wrong season to go for birdwatching, though. So hot !

My house is surrounded by semi forest area (West India). I have seen and heard a Malabar Whistling Thrush in my backyard , and never expected it. That was 7 years ago. Now they don't come. Why? I have seen rare green pigeons and hornbills, woodpeckers and peacocks. Kingfishers are common. There are no sparrows. There are prinias, orioles, bulbuls, b and rt drongos, coucals, waterhens, flycatchers, sunbirds, barbets, parakeets, koels, tailorbirds, mynas, robin etc.

Your surroundings maybe changing quickly than we realise :( That's sad to know ! Like humans, they need safe home and food and water to be around ! Maybe they are not finding them anywhere near your house.

I can not believe what I just saw. The birds are completely different than the birds in the USA. I sure learned that.

Wow, that's such a praise!! Glad you saw something new! We have been in USA for few years, except for woodpeckers, warblers,eagles kind of birds others are very different in both the countries 🤗 Thank you for watching, take care!!

I have observed that most birds imitate voices. Their call is different from when they are in groups. Also, like when humans have some problem in the voice box, bird's voice also changes
@IndianBirdVideos4 жыл бұрын
Yeah exactly, u have observed well. they like us gossip around, sing to their mate, alarm call in danger, mimic others to escape.. so they do have very different calls
