Rajya Sabha Session: In what turned out to be a heated exchange of words, Lop Mallikarjun Kharge objected to Rajya Sabha chairman Jagdeep Dhankar's suggestion for Jairam Ramesh to swap places with Mallikarjun Kharge. Mallikarjun Kharge took offence and said Jagdeep Dhankhar still harboured the varna system in his head. Defending his words, Jagdeep Dhankhar rubbished his claims and said how easily he twisted his words.

Varna system has 'TITLES' which are 'EARNED' according to your job and not inherited by birth. Just like we have titles in the army, corporate sector, etc. Nobody is born a CEO of a company or the general of an army, they have to EARN those titles. India's Inflation, current account deficit and Fiscal deficit are under control. Good growth rate 8.2 %. Capex of 3.4% of GDP. Record high Forex reserve. Money is pumped into Infrastructure. Every village has Electricity , Internet access. No one is dying due to hungry. No policy paralysis. No NPA crisis of banks. So on... Several good things are happening around us. But all these are done without any proper discussions in parliament. Think what prevents discussion in these topics. My answer is opposition's ego. They know if Social wellbeing of people is a topic of discussion they are going to lose. So they scream Social justice card whenever they are losing.They just exaggerating things. If Congress changes it's mindset then probably good discussions may take place.
