this 5th and 6th line will only benefit the long distance trains coming from Bandra terminus. It will not affect or assist any train which goes to Mumbai Central There is an existing 5th track between Mumbai Central and Matunga which has a missing section between Bandra and Matunga , if that section is made, it will free up fast line tracks by shifting all express trains on the 5th bi directional line from Mumbai Central to Bandra terminus and then from there the 5th and 6th line can take over. it will also empty slots on the fast tracks to run more fast local trains.

usually, ICF coaches are rated at 110kmph as they are self-generating ie generators are attached to the wheels which generate electricity due to coach motion, but it also introduces a drag on the locomotive as it has to pull the train weight and the additional drag of generators of every coach. Garib Rath coaches are modified to use power from EOG, so all the generators are removed from the wheels. so now the loco only has to pull in the coaches weight, nothing else and that allows the train to achieve higher speeds upto 130kmph. the coaches are rack and pin, not CBC else it would have been allowed even higher speeds but from point of safety , it is not allowed.
