When Leonard says "Sheldon is the way he is but he is a good person" I think is the biggest clue that Sheldon irl would be diagnosed with Autism. Because he doesn't understand social interactions and can appear rude/selfish/inconsiderate but he is not a bad person.

sheldon does not have autism he is just a snob - the writers state he does not have autism - so stop making stuff up- you are just spreading bigotry against people with autism by saying they all behave in the same way -

He also is selfish and inconsiderate. I've known neurodivergent people irl and they would agree that, while they don't always pick up on social cues, that's not an excuse for imposing on others the way Sheldon often does.

The elevator explosion was a reason they gave to why it was out of order every season. It wasn't fixed until the very last episode as a bit of a joke.

The red shirt Leonard was wearing he was allergic to. Sheldon dared him to wear it until he'd returned the DVD knowing he'd crack from the ordeal not bothering Sheldon. If the DVD was not paid for and actually still due Sheldon wouldn't have been calm.

For instance, the sweater. To help Leonard understand how difficult unresolved issues are for him, Sheldon got Leonard to wear that itchy sweater until he returned the DVD to the store like he should have 7 years ago. Turns out the store closed down, the owner had died, Leonard couldn't find any of his family. It went on for days. Turns out Sheldon had already paid for it. He conned Leonard
