The German education system produces highly trained craftsmen. If the kid is not made for university, they go to school until 16 and then they often learn a craft like carpenter, welder, baker etc. in a dual system. That means they work as an apprentice in a shop under a "Meister" (master craftsman) for a few days a week and the rest of the week they take classes for that specific trade. It's a big deal when you become a CERTIFIED German electrician, plumber, cook, whatever. This system of educating skilled workers is what made German quality so famous.

Theoreticly true but this sythem let alot of children fall behind if u desturb the lessons couse u have problems at home and have bad greates becouse ofnthis u ho send to hauotschule if u are undiagnosed adhd or autisim kid or have any other concentration or lerning disability wich does not mesn ur stupid u also get put into hauptschule U might already see the issue here One half of the hauotschul kids simply need a family therapist a psychomogist and special trained teachers who also have a therapist availible and the other half simply needs a smaler more quiet class wocht teachers who are trained to not constantly walk through the room or make noice with their keys thats all but they get send into a schoom form wich is highly stigmatized and limits ur carreer paths quite wiedly 😅 thats at least a 5th of every normal middle school each gaduation year

@@YukiTheOkami stigmatised for nothing. If there is no logistics workers, carpenters, plumbers etc. all the "prestige jobs" are useless and not sustainable because society itself will fall apart. Most people in Hauptschule are smarter than Gymnasium or Realschule. They're just sick of school because it's a waste of time because you learn almost nothing you actually need in your life. Most people in Gymnasium are too stupid to make themselves breakfast. They're just good in regurgitating learned things. Also I had multiple strokes reading that.

@@YukiTheOkami That has little to do with the educational system itself, but the family. The kids are in school for 4-6 hours under differen teacher, with 20-30 kids per class. There is no way to ensure, every kid get the attention from the teacher, that it should get from their parents. It's a sad truth, but if parents are shit at parenting, the kids will have a hard time. Not that much the schools can do about it.

--- The German education system (like many others around the world) is designed to provide the country's industry with valuable worker bees. However, it is still the job of parents to look after the welfare of their children and their mental and physical condition. Too many parents do not really care and delegate the entire responsibility for their children's upbringing to institutions that should not actually be performing these tasks, let alone have the (human) capacity to do so. If parents fail to get a diagnosis for possible mental disorders in their child, schools and teachers cannot be blamed for not knowing about these problems and possibly paying more/special attention to these children.

Plastic bags still exist in Germany, but they have become rare and are often only available for a fee. Most people use reusable bags made of fabric or very sturdy ones made of recycled plastic. I myself only use disposable plastic bags when I buy greasy, hot food from a food truck and don't want the grease to run into my normal bag if the special paper bag isn't tight enough. However, I even use these bags several times before I use them to collect plastic waste and then put it in the plastic garbage can.

1942 We started paying deposits on soda- and beer bottles of glass in Denmark. 2002 extended to plastic soda - and beerbottles of plastik - and cans! 2009 also water and ready to drink bottles 2019 on juice and squash bottles. At home we collect a big bag and take to the supermarked, when shopping. But if just had a drink somewhere and don't want to carry a bottles around, you put is nicely next to a bin, at a bus stop of somewhere "safe" so the next bottle collecter - someone homeless? - can sublement their income with 25 cent.

The 25 cent deposit on plastic bottles is relatively new in Germany. Before that we also had deposit on beer bottles and sturdy plastic bottles.

You misunderstood the deposit. I pay a 25 cent deposit and get the 25 cent deposit back when I return the empty bottle to the store. So not just half as you thought.

Since they implemented the deposit system (Pfand) I always had like 8 trash cans full of tin cans, bottles and such. As soon as this got implemented my trash reduced from 8 to 2 trash cans full of stuff. Not only do they recycle, but it helped people personally, because they do not have so much trash anymore. Somebody has to deal with it, don't they? Well, now they burden is shifted to...the recycling company.

In a cafe (pâtisserie 🍰) shop or TCHIBO you can take a coffee ☕+ cake and you drink out of porcelain cups not plastic cups and plates ! You can go into a coffee shop and give the salesperson YOUR very cleant Thermo Mug and they fill it...no more longer plastic litter (waste)!!!

There really aren't any flows in the school system, yes you get accepted based on your grades in 4th grade, but you can easily change schools too if your grades improve and you wish to do so.

Fun fact about towing: My father had a boat on trailer and a camping trailer both around 1600kg. And because he was towing that only 2-3 times a year, he wanted the otherwise most compact and economic car he could find for daily driving. What he found was a VW Golf, with a raised towing capacity which was new from the dealer. He originally wanted to buy a japanese car, but they all did not fit his towing needs and were not able or willing to raise the limit in the papers. And many Germans have a "Klaufix" (Steal-quick) which is a small open bed trailer (500-750kg). That is why not many Germans have a pick-up. They simply use these small trailers and convert their sedan or compact hatchback to what Americans would have a pick up truck, but for daily driving they have a more compact car.

towing caravans: there are 3 rules, depending on the brakes of the tender. 1. no brakes: you have strict weight limits to adhere. 750kg or so. 2. regular brakes: your towing vehicles empty mass has to be larger than towed tenders maximal mass. 3. air pressure brakes: your towing vehicle has to follow the same rules as in point 2. but: 1 and 2 is restricted to 3500kg mass for both vehicles. in 3, with an extra driving education, each vehicle can have up to 3500kg, so 7000kg total. the power requirement that the US seem to have is just, that it's not a lot of fun to accelerate 2+ tons of vehicle with less than 100HP.

Gasoline Station The problem with thieves can be solved by the requirement of putting in a valid credit card at your station before the gasoline is unlocked. You take as much as you want/need and the amount gets transfered from your account. I've had that in Denmark and France. These were fully automated stations without any staff. Also there are cams recording the number plates

Idea for you two guys: Bring back banana leafs as packaging material as it used to be in your beautiful country. Get rid of plastic as much as possible and a personal tip: Avoid plastic containers as much as possible. Drink only from glass bottles, pack food in glass, not plastic. Thank me later...

The allowded speeds are known by most Europeans with driving licence . And if you come in another country , f.e. with ferry in a harbour, there are signs at the harbour exit before you enter the country with these speeds. So we dont need this mass of traffic signs. (inside a city there might be too many signs, which can confuse drivers , but thats another story^^ )

The problems in the education system she speaks about are of a kind that's hard to work on. Parents with a doctor's degree themselves will always push their kids to do the same. Parents with a lower degree will always try to get their kids going for a better one. So the problem is not the system itself, but the caring parents who - as we say in german - can't jump over their shadow. They just can't overcome themselves because they are who they are and it's their job to care for the future of their kids. And whether they were right or maybe the kids should've done their own way, you'll only know when they're grown up. And even then you can never know, if they would've been really happy and successful on the other way of life. I think, this concept of living between free will and letting others decide is quite similar to another well known concept in India, thinking of arranged marriages, which are not strictly ordered, but nevertheless considered. Had an indian friend for many years in school ;) The second point she brought up, that it was too early for kids to break up in different schools, is on my opinion not that worse. You could also put it the other way round and say kids learn how to handle losses and to make new friends, friends that maybe fit them better cause they're a little more experienced and know better what their kind of people is. They also learn to be more open, more socializing and get to know more people in general, and what's a quite important point: They have more time with people that choose a similar way like they did.

The problem we have in Germany is that the most important jobs earn the least amount of money. Everybody thinks truckers and logistics workers are useless but without them society will fall apart. No food, no water, no meds, no cars, no houses, no nothing. They should be earning way more than most but they don't even if society doesn't function in no country in the world without logistics. We earn less so others can earn an unfair amount of money. If the the whole logistics branch would go on strike for only a week it would be absolute chaos. Same with nurses, carpenters, plumbers, roofers, any construction and so on. But politicans get 15k per month from our taxes.
@kohlenstoffeinheit5298
@kohlenstoffeinheit5298 6 ай бұрын
@@raydafuq3570 As far as I know truckers are paid easily double the money as for example parcel deliverers or medical logistics. I wouldn't classify jobs by importance because having no government, engineering or production would either crash economy and end up in chaos. I'd propose raising the minimum wages from 12,41 to at least 15€/h. That would be a good start. And speaking of craftsmen, especially roofers: For 10 years I've been trying to get one now, but one house is too small to be worth it, when 20 big orders are already in line. Their companies may distribute the money in a wrong way, but they can't tell they wouldn't have enough.

8:00 adapting the idea of deposit would be a great benefit for India. My grand uncle was a development helper - I dont know the english term - he was managig the installation of the phone system in Africa in the 70s, then moved on to many other projects in Africa and later in the 90s (?) went to India (Madras) - as the Pest broke out - to evolve the country. He told me some fundamental differences between India and Africa, like: don't drive in India if you don't believe in rebirth and India is by far the most filthy/dirty country he has seen in his life. I have to agree when thinking about the travel vlog I have seen from northern India. The tourist pick trash and deposit it in an appropriate place. Normally the tourists are the pigs....I have returned bottles for more than 100€ in one run. There are homeless people "specializing" in collecting and returning bottles for a monthly income in Germany. And the Germans don't throw glass and plastic bottles away but places them next to or onto the trash bins, to make it easier to collect these bottles if the e.g. are on a hike and don't want to get bothered with the bottles.

Why not instead of using and storing the plastic bags just use reusable bags that you always take for shopping groceries? Bring your own bag is what I am saying here.
@CirTap
@CirTap 5 ай бұрын
I'm with you, but that's idealistic and wishful thinking. I have several cloth bags that I take with me when I go shopping "on purpose" but this doesn't help if I just happen to be down town and for whatever reason spontaneously decides to buy some stuff. I don't carry these bags with me whenever I leave the house. I also don't have the need for a car to keep bags just in case. If I'm with my bike I eventually pick an empty cardboard box from the store to carry my shopping or use one of the (free) paper bags often found in the grocery isles. So situations happen and circumstances apply in life to be a perfectly prepared shopper 24/7.
