His shows would normally start with a routine like this of jokes and tricks, then he would have a selection of sketches, with some involving the special guest aswell as some songs or dancing on the longer shows. I have one of his fun famous sketches up "Tommy Cooper - Cooking with duck - 1973"

TC was unique. As British as they come but you cannot really compare him with anyone else. Born in Caerphilly (Wales) and there is a lovely statue of him there, next to the ancient Castle. Check it out on Google images: complete with fez!

Tommy Cooper was a brilliant Magician but he was naturally extremely funny RIP Tommy Cooper. The GPO used to be what ran our Post Offices and Telephones in the UK!

He was just daft. You don't try to attach meaning to his jokes as they are just silly, and very funny. In the 1970s our family would be laughing at him as soon as he appeared on the tv. He didn't have to do anything to make people laugh. They just loved him.
