I’m not a Nepali but my hometown is Kalimpong and I have lived there all my childhood. We get all of this and more there, made me wanna go back home😢.. not a great fan of the titaura but Wai Wai and batare is life. And like tenzing I also prefer the salty batare😅. wai wai used to be really hard to find in South India when i was small. only one far away shop used to stock it and it was a ritual for me and my dad to go to that shop on every other Sunday to stock up. thankfully now it's widely available 😊

Amazed at Tenzing speaking Nepali and Vivek singing kutu ma kutu 🤣🤣 damn funny. 3:50 Titaura isn't only made with hog plum but many fruits like mango,plum, gooseberry, tamrind, lemon and the list goes on....They range from sweet and hot to salty sour spicy etc. They are also available in dry and jhol(gravy like) forms. They are pretty spicy and very tasty😋

We,Nepali speaking ppl from Darjeeling, Dehradun, Himachal pradesh and some parts of Uttarakhand are Indian and Nepali is our mother tongue. well if your coming to boudha they dont forget try laphing, keema noodles, rildok as well as butter tea. apart from this try newari cuisine as well as thakali khana set which is must try. dont fortget to try juju dhau for desert from bhaktapur. for drink dont forget to visti indrachowk ko lasi in kathmandu and chayyan which is fermented rice alcohol.

This is not claimed but there are some people mentioning on an article how the Newar people went to Kerala(probably to help with building and construction) which is why I believe Nepali temple structures are similar to Kerala temples.
