Maruti Fronx will likely be launched in March 2023.
Price: Its prices could start from Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom).
Variants: Maruti Fronx is offered in five trims: Sigma, Delta, Delta+, Zeta and Alpha.
Colours: Fronx can be had in three dual-tone and six monotone colours: Earthen Brown with Bluish Black roof, Opulent Red with Bluish Black roof, Splendid Silver with Bluish Black roof, Earthen Brown, Arctic White, Opulent Red, Grandeur Grey and Splendid Silver.
Seating Capacity: It can seat up to five passengers.
Engine and Transmission: Maruti is offering it with two petrol engine options: a 1-litre turbo-petrol BoosterJet engine (100PS/148Nm), with mild-hybrid technology and a 1.2-litre Dualjet petrol unit (90PS/113Nm) from the Baleno. The former is paired with a five-speed manual or a six-speed automatic, while the latter can be had with a five-speed manual or a five-speed AMT.
Features: Its list of features comprises a nine-inch infotainment system, heads-up display, cruise control, auto climate control and wireless phone charging.
Safety: In terms of passenger safety, it has up to six airbags, electronic stability program (ESP), hill hold assist, a 360-degree camera, ISOFIX anchors and ABS with EBD.
Rivals: It doesn’t have any direct rivals in the country, but it will be an alternative to the sub-four-metre SUVs such as the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite and Maruti Brezza.
Maruti Fronx EV: Maruti Fronx EV is in the works, and will be a part of Maruti's electric lineup.
: Maruti has recalled some units of the Brezza due to a possible defect in the airbag control module. Maruti has also unveiled the Brezza CNG, which will likely be the first-ever subcompact CNG SUV in India.
Price: The subcompact SUV’s prices range from Rs 8.19 lakh to Rs 14.04 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Variants: It is available in four trims: LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+. The mid-spec VXi and ZXi are expected to be offered with CNG.
Colours: Maruti offers it in six monotones and three dual-tone shades: Sizzling Red, Brave Khakhi, Exuberant Blue, Magma Grey, Splendid Silver, Pearl Arctic White, Sizzling Red with Midnight Black Roof, Brave Khakhi with Arctic White Roof and Splendid Silver with Midnight Black Roof.
Seating Capacity: It can seat up to five people.
Boot Space: The subcompact SUV has a boot space of 328 litres.
Engine and Transmission: It makes use of a 1.5-litre petrol engine (103PS/137Nm) paired with either a five-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. The CNG variants that use the same engine will have a reduced output of 88PS and 121.5Nm, and will only be offered with five-speed manual transmission.
