The one thing I certainly love about Hema Malini is she never gave up her mother tongue, Thamizh, which she ended up teaching her child, Esha. Oh! btw, Esha's tamil was beyond the expectation I had when i saw her for a promotional event in Chennai. She even dubbed her own voice for the movie, Yuva in Tamil which apparently is her first and last till date. This is how you carry the legacy forward. God bless Hema, Esha, Ahana, and Dharmendra..

one request: when writing english, you can safely use the specific letter of english used for pronouncing, right? Why bring idiosyncrasies of one language to another? In language X one may pronounce pencil as cow, but why would you do it in another language unnecessarily ?

Thanks for an amazing candid interview. Mazaa aa gaya. I’ve one story to share about Hema Ji. She had come to San Francisco in mid-seventies to perform in her show. During the intermission my mom, my brother and I managed to go behind the stage to hopefully to meet her but most likely to get a closer glimpse of her. So there I was standing few feet behind her and my brother was standing few feet in front of her ready with his camera to capture her on film. There she was in all her glory and I stretched out my hand to motion my brother to click the camera and the moment I did that she suddenly moved a step backwards closer to me and my left hand landed on her shoulder. She instantly turned around and glared at me with her big beautiful eyes to see who dared to put his hand on her shoulders. I was only eleven years old at that time and I just melted faster than an ice cream. I was just awed by her beauty and her presence. I was totally floored. And credit to my brother, he also clicked instantaneously and I’ve that moment frozen in that photograph. That moment is so fresh in my mind, I could relive it instantly.

Hema Malini used to look so beautiful even till about 5 years ago but, now she looks weird. She could have aged gracefully but, she has chosen to use so much Botox that now she does not look natural. She has the most beautiful face of all actresses in the past- her skin is great, a very strong well-defined bone structure that can hold up the muscles of the face well and she has been a very active person throughout her life - she could have just laid off those botox injections and she would still have been the most beautiful actress in this day and age. So many beautiful women look very beautiful even in their 80s and she would have been too if she had just stopped with all the botox treatments.
