No one is 100% sure what is right or wrong but my point is women need to be heard by all of us and must be given a space where they can speak out freely if such things really happened. For this to happen we need to show our support particularly in a man dominated society like ours. Regardless, a proper investigation should happen and we need to accept the outcome. However it’s not about what exactly happened or the outcome of proper investigation. In india, we can’t deny that there is definitely a possibility where people use their power to exploit women. It happens all the time in india - after living in USA for 35 years - I visited India last year and joined the Sun & Sand Hotel fitness Center in Juhu, Mumbai. I used to walk late at night on Juhu Beach and one younger actor who comes there all the time for the past 8 years - tells me that if women walk there at night - they are open to rape as they should not walk at night and it will be there fault as they are asking for it. I was shocked and complained to management and they did nothing about it (maybe because I was not a long time member) - they said it is his opinion. SHOCKING. He would laugh and encourage other men and also women (even the women took his side or kept quiet) there to be against me. I left the club because I felt harassed. AND I AM 58 YEARS OLD - Totally Shocking the attitude in India.

Power abuse is often in India by seniors or positional level heads, who are successful or since long in same organisations. They feel they can abuse or threaten new comers or others as they hold a great position in that organisations. I applause you for raising the voice and standing firm on it. Be brave and do not wait that others who witnessed it may favour you as they are sacred of their jobs or instuitionalisation has forced them to keep quite. Do not get disheartened and believe in yourself. Often we meet seniors who holds double standards and victimise you often. They pressurised you to an extent that you may feel frustrated when cornered by them in a group. Trust your own instinct and fight for your human rights......Kudos to you and your strength.
