Very well explained. In Bengal, the situation is even worse than Maharashtra. We, bengalis suffer a lot due to these problems. They just destroy our heritage, culture and impose everywhere their "lolipol lagelu" culture. Crime rate in the Howrah-hooghly industrial belt of Bengal increased significantly due to these problems. Even our own sisters are not safe where these problems lived.

Bihar is the least developed state bcoz and not bcoz of 1764 (British looted cities like Calcutta also).... it is due to Lalu, Shahbhuddin , and many more. I am nt a hypocrite so.. I tell you.. Bihar is so populated and half of the population come to Delhi. Just look at Delhi metro.. after college it's so difficult to go home.Biharis know how corrupt Lalu is.. still they vote for him. Near my house... there is a pond where they celebrate chhat pooja. After Pooja is over... they don't even clean the mess. During pooja... they walk miles on road in groups blocking the cars. it's ok of you want to do pooja we respect that... but plz.. see the comfort zone of others also. The complexity of surrounding regions and the number of ethnicities was way lesser in times of ashoka , he faced the feable hindus who are not great generals .If after arrival of central asian muslims would ashoka have been able to create the empire he created when indias population was 10th of what mughal empire had then i would have called him greatest emperor. He had not subdued iran nor the empire had any strong opposition in the region. To create a empire in that situation would have been a cake walk for a intelligent general like aurangzeb , nadir shah or baji rao of modern times. The greatest indian ruler by far was aurangzeb. He expanded his empire in Medieval times when technology , population and complexity of indian population was way higher. And ashoka cannot be called bihari because languages spoken in bihar are not more than 1000 years old. Bihari as ethnicity is not a even a phenomena like gujarati ,marathi or tamil is . The decendents of mauryas spread across india . The modern biharis are product of 1000 years of neglect and slavery by mughal and delhi sultanate rulers.

While on the other hand Aurangzeb had to face europeans , afghans , marathas , sikhs and till managed to expand his empire . Each of his enemies had different technique and technological level of advancement. The mughal empire sustained the population of 200 million while mauryan empire had 50 to 60million. The most dangerous addition to the enemies of mughals were central asian muslim hordes who dominated whole middle east . The mughals had to face iranians , Afghans and other islamic hordes which were completely absent at the time of ashoka . The aurangzeb as a military general was way greater than ashoka or any mauryan emperor ever was. Besides that ashoka was not a bihari. Their was no bihar or any of the bihari languages present at the time of ashoka . The descendents of mauryan have spread across country. Their was no bihari or uttar pradeshi empire like marathas had maratha empire , tulu or kannada people had vijyanagara empire or tamils had cholas . All of the empires mentioned above claim to be marathi , tulu or tamil themselves. Site even one instance when ashoka claimed to be bihari or bhaiyaa lol. The culture of the above people has been shaped by the respective empires and has developed sense of nationality . While biharis and upites have not even developed distinct ethnic identities yet . This state of society is way medieval to exist in modern times. This happened because of 1000 years of muslim rule on you guys . The Muslims with your money on your land built rich tradition of urdu literature and hindustani culture while uncouth hindus were just bunch of peasants with no political thought.

I am from Jharkhand . I was in Kolkata few days ago. And all the taxi I booked .All were from Bihar and living there for So many years . I asked one of the Taxi driver who was Bihar He said " Arre Bangali logo ko toh hum Bangal se hi bhaga denge " .I straight away , stopped the car and changed the taxi . I mean what Kind of people are they ( not all ) such an irritating fellows .
