Mint Knight is a great redesign of Mage Knight in a small tin. With some important changes to make it fit, the action cards in particular are the most interesting design feature. As you use effects, they go back on the bottom of the deck flipped to their waning side. Then go from waning to discard. And mana has been updated to be based on the cards in your hand. It gets most of the feel of the huge box mageknight game in such a small package! Give it a look!

Try "The Draugr" (hunting vampires), "Deadeye Dinah" (Western) or "The Dead Eye" (Mad Max theme). Also "Kaiju Siege" (which is not as compact as the others, but still with a small footprint). There's also "Adventure of D", but I find it too difficult solo, and it's clearly meant to be 2 player competitive. There are three compact solo games (designed by Gabe Barrett) under the title "Realm of Shadows" which will release soon, and Chip Theory Games has just Kickstarted the "20 Strong" series.

I already own and really enjoy this game, but hearing you discuss it was great. Love the vids. Please keep them up! And a tiny game I recommend is the PnP for a game called Zone Runners, that you can find on BGG. Does a couple of twists with dice and simulates kind of an endless runner. Easy build and free!

Super excited to hear more info about that followup to Doom Machine ("Dead Machine Gods") when it becomes available. I also picked up "Mindburners: Into the Void" from Mr. Meunier, which is more of a party-style quick score attack game. I still haven't really wrapped my head around how all the scoring options got baked into the cards. Another small game I might suggest checking out is "SpaceShipped" (by Lucas Gentry, via ButtonShy). Copies are not always available but there's a reprint in the works. The base game is a bit limited, and the theming is perhaps a little spotty, but it involves some novel multi-functional cards. From a design standpoint it's also interesting to see how the different Expansions have divided up and added in content and systems. I'm awaiting the arrival of the full set of expansions, and the final expansion's first printing. Even with all expansions added, it's only 42 cards. Crazy small.

Mindburners is quite fun. I did a video on that one a couple of months ago. I will have to check out SpaceShipped. That one sounds great!

@@jasonglover6615 Yes, I am a fan of the original Mindburners -- I've got a solo variant I posted on BGG if anyone is interested. But I was talking about "Mindburners: Into the Void" which is a separate game set in the same universe. Some interesting design stuff with the multi-scoring cards, but a much lighter game, I feel.

@@Genghis-Pawn I must have missed that one. Nathan has some real talent as both an artist and designer.
