So just wanted to bring this too you, I backed a game back in 2019 called Little Legend, that looked like a really good game. Unfortunately they used up all the kickstarter funds and can't find any publishers to fund the rest of their game. According to them Publishers are telling them that their game is too expensive for a 2d plat former game, and constantly quote the exceptional phenomenon of layoffs in the video game industry for the past 2 years. Their scale of their company isn't exactly that of a indie dev, but since their having trouble I thought I might mention it the comments.

Chill Pulse - Is a cool idea. Not sure I'd want too much to do, having a spare screen and something like this in the background can be conducive to studying. Pomodoro Timer is a good bonus and if they inclue any other such tools like that. Tempus Bound - Chill graphics and hidden gem of the week as you say. Thanks for sifting through the releases and curating the cream at the top.

A dungeon crawling micro-game for tired people? This hole was made for me!!

I might be more interested in any number of these Bullet Heavens if 1) the feel of gameplay had any substantive difference and B) they hadn't all come out in such a glut. Even the few good ones just can't catch my interest.

Dragon ruins reminds me of a game called buriedborns

I'd be interested in a climbing game combined with an action platformer, where the controls are like a normal platformer but getting hit knocks you down some instead of depleting life meter and enemies respawn when away from you.

LOL why does the game description of Dragon Ruin say its for "tired people" ??

Indika looks balls to the walls level crazy, definitely interesting.

Abiotic Factor let’s goooo!!! I played it during one of the playtests and again with the most recent demo and I cannot WAIT to jump back in this week. The base building and survival elements are surprisingly cozy with friends and I love the Half Life atmosphere. Still has a unique flair of its own, though. Day 1 purchase for me

Indika looks intriguing and I like the idea of Undead Inc. Not sure if Undead Inc would be fun for me though.

I will try to go back and look for it, if you answered me once, I never got an notice for that. I'm not sure if I have to take aditional steps when I should finally remember that there is a newsletter I signed up for on every wednesday? Not sure if I would show randomly up as a winner of something or not.

Chill pulse has a spelling error. Sirop is syrup.

In french we say "sirop". Maybe it's the same for other languages as well?

@@y_rnd considering the language written was English, I'd assume an error on my part.

I don't understand the appeal of games like "Echoes of the plum Grove"? Why do they make games with adult level difficulty that are stylized to look like they are for 5 year olds? What adults find that aesthetic appealing?
@abetterjulie4 ай бұрын
have you played mario games
@esperago4 ай бұрын
@@abetterjulie I spent a good deal of time considering my position on Mario games because your hunch is correct, I have and do still play Mario games. At the surface level, it seems I have a double standard however on a secondary level, I don't actually think this is the case. When I play Mario, there is a lifetime's worth of nostalgia going on. In fact, I don't really even see the graphics, I see everything as a whole of my combined experience over the past 30 years. Yes, it does still look cute and kiddy-like but what entertains me is the unique , very personal nostalgic factor and what each character and design choice represents. In actuality though, I would probably be more interested in the new Mario games if they modernized the graphics and design. When other new games come out that have no precursor games, no set lore, world and/or level and character design AND the creators have chosen the double combo of creating challengingly difficult games, fit for adults but at the same time designing the visuals to look like my four year old's favorite picture book, I am left scratching my head as to who those kiddie style graphics are supposed to be for. There's no personal lifetime story involved. No nostalgia and the game would seemingly be more appealing if the visuals were redone in a more mature manner.

I like the generic throw of the generic 'Capitalism' there like if there was supposed to have an intrinsic negative connotation to it.
