There are at least 5 shades similar between sugar drizzle and itsbel, I also regret my purchase of sugar drizzle. I think it’s safe to say there will be lots of cross overs between all these all shimmer palettes and people can just choose their preference for the variety and amount of eyeshadows.

Yeah for sure! The sugar drizzle is more accessible through etsy with MJONES discount code but after shipping and tax it was almost £50....I couldn't justify it for one palette. Itsbel are coming out with a new palette so I'll probably try and get that with break the rules to hit the free international shipping threshold

I'm into the new Natasha Denona palette. The midi size in definitely more accessible to me. I'll forever be drooling over Gold and Metropolis but $170 is way too much for me lol. Still on the fence about the ColourPop cheek quads. Smokin Whistles highlight is one of my top faves so I love that it's in one.

@@AmyLovesMakeup I honestly think Shroud had intentions of making everyone happy. So many people were completely about how quickly the collab sold out, I knew full well what I was getting myself into ordering from an open ended pre order from a small indie brand. She was pretty clear with how long it could take. I think people getting inpatient became very overwhelming for her. I don’t believe she went into this with I’ll intent. The situation just made me feel really bad for her. I’m glad she is at the tail end of it, has a shop and a pressing machine. Hopefully this will help her tremendously with future launches

Thank you for talking about how small businesses can easily be taken by surprise by a sudden spike in exposure. Some people are just unaware of how differently things have to be done when you're a small business vs a large one, but it's been kind of rough watching how mean some people are willing to get online over makeup. Also, I know it'll never happen, I know, I know, but man it would be so awesome if Natasha Denona would release more of her palette shades as singles. Every time a new ND palette comes out, there's always 1 or 2 shades I'd LOVE to have, but cannot justify the price of for just a few colors.

I completely understand when a product from an otherwise unknown indie brand blows up overnight and they run out of stock. It's when it's the third or fourth time (Give Me Glow, I'm looking at you) and it's still happening that I just give up on the brand. Especially since I sleep during the day and work nights, I'm just no longer up for trying to set an alarm and hope I can plug in all my info fast enough to beat everyone else. A pretty palette isn't worth that aggravation.

Seperate mini glitter palettes are such a good idea. I have very pale skin and a preference for more muted looks so I'm not that bothered by having some shades I won't use, that's the norm for me, but the mess of pressed glitters is infuriating.

Those Touchofglam shifty shadows look so tempting! But not worth it to purchase if you already have Clionadh or Terra Moons or something similar. Totally with you on that saving money goal. Let's shop our own stashes first before buying new stuff!

I have ordered Jackie's candles and yes they are pretty and smell good...BUT they are so expensive. I got 4 single wick candles and it was 130 bucks. And they are nothing super special as far as smell goes and really small. I get better from bath and body works and I get the three wicks onsale for 10 to 15 bucks a piece. I don't know but it was a regret for me.

I had the mini zendo palette hanging out in my cart during the sephora sale. I totally agree with you on the large one. The last two columns I was like "YES!" But then the further left you go I like it less and less. Even the middle column was okay, but then the first two I'm like "eehhh...." Actually, if you could dupe that and change the first two-three columns I'd TOTALLY love that video. Like put your own spin on the left half.

I like how you explained the demand/availability of indie brands!! I was fortunate to get the Underworld palette, but wasn’t able to get a single Menagerie palette and I wasn’t even trying for Anettes. I was really bummed about that, but I do understand how it all works and this is why they are also so much more special then big brands!! I personally dont mind pre-ordering and waiting, but it is ultimately up to the brand with what they want to do…which I get also

I agree about not wanting to get duplicates with Sugardrizzle Polish, I noticed almost exact same shades in the Alien Cosmetics palettes when I used them compared to palettes I bought before (their artwork is unique and beautiful though). I agree about the small indie brand releases, though the case of Shroud for instance on the preorders and delivery, I'd say that criticism was valid in terms of communications and amount of palettes you must know you can't deliver in the timescales committed before offering up. I think they learnt their lesson and worked hard to fix it in the end, but I think customers had the right to call it out at the time.

I'm not impressed by that persona beauty launch, but I will say as a dark skinned lady I was 90% sure the darker shade would work on my skin tone in the 1st shot and 99% sure in the second. I wear the darkest shades from Mented and Prime Beauty so I appreciate that they didn't stop 5 shade back and call it universal like some of the bigger brands.

I dont understand why its so hard to understand that small indie brands arent Maybelline or Urban Decay!!! And also noone but the brand owers know their financial situation! I understand where you’re coming from... I do try to have some type of animation to my face when doing thumbnails because unfortunately no matter how hard you work on a video if your thumbnail is lackluster it’s a waste. I wouldn’t judge it too much though because it’s kind of just how KZbin works. ☹️
